Took 3/4 off at 8.90 from 10.51 for 161 pips, so that went well. Have tp at the dp for the rest with sl at 9.31.

Goodnite and careful trades all...

Closed @ 38.2% fib for 100pips, though news in 7minutes, think it might push gj lower to 50% fib, but im done for the day with my dayly goal

It is not realy GOOD one., only 0.2%, to compare with italian one half hour ago 0.7% /month..

EDIT: Gy is on DPP now, if we breach, next stop is 207.8

Something funky going on.
Equities and commodities falling, except oil.
Hong Kong stks down almost 5%.
DJIA Futs down over 100 pts.

Where is all the cash going now?

Watch for a fall in carry trades.

Piters, do you use session pivots which I believe is aus's strategy, or just daily pivots thruout, cuz I have a daily and M2 about 2 pips from you (calc time is 1700 est)

This is what I am afraid of. You see, when ever OIL goes UP, YEN goes down, the reason, Japan is 100% importer of OIL, all japaneese economy depends of Oil. Canada is 100% exporter of oil. That''s why we have CADJPY as additional indicator for OIL. To see Carry Trades Unwind, we have to see hard (panic) selloff in DOW today. (IMO)

Agree, futs were not this low this early on Friday prior to 400pt selloff. I think Gene22 is correct on this one; break below 12000 and carries will unwind.

GBP/USD has joined the party, as soon as USD/JPY joins in that will start the fall. (If it does)

my DPP on gy is 208.586667 (eSignal) and it is session pivot. But don''t worry about 5 pips more or less. (calculation is based on diferent Timezone - mine is GMT+10 Eastern AUS Time)

Morning all

USD index is up slightly at 73.2, top of the channel is 73.9.
Dow futures are way down -118 last I checked.
Nikkei closed negative, again.
Oil is a 133.8 a barrel
Gold has been falling all morning, now at 884.5
Cable (lovely pinbar on daily I hope you all caught) falling as fast as Geppy
U/J still at the top of the channel.

Have tightened stop loss on shorts, 100+ green pips.

Rusty is right, something is going down. Money is leaving the markets in a hurry.

Thats YOUR call, CHARTS will tell you, last thing you want is to trade someone else's opinion, but late for shorts IMVHO, could retest 1.944 so more downside possible

I never worry about a few pips, broker feeds will always keep that from exact, I calculate mine from my daily candle data on accucharts which I can set to whenever, works very well for me, and was surprised to see a London session pivot so close to my daily which I use for the whole 24 hr period.

In any event, Aus strategy dictates different pivot data every 8 hrs or so, am I correct?
