You don't have to worry if the price is in opposite direction, start worrying if the price is different few hours before Sydney open.

Wow there's already gaps in certain brokers?
Oanda's closed at 206.79 and it hasn't moved since. Wonder if i'm missing something.

Anyway, forex will open up a bit later for the new week. Sydney's on holiday Monday morning (Queen's birthday) and don't expect too much action from the Kiwis. You might not see too much of a gap manifest (if at all) until Tokyo open.

Yeah Mate, not really good weekend for BBQ in Sydney. Plenty time for analyzing Charts. The difference with brokers is only because some brokers close on Friday 1H earlier, some 1H later. That is why the difference. I''ve Got on eSignal 206.74 close on GY, and 104.91 on UY (Gain). I posted 3 links which are active over the weekends. But in reality the last hour, or First Hour before Monday''s opening they more or less adjust their prices. (oanda and XE)

so what's the confirmation for fall? i see a possible rally... maybe to test the gap, maybe higher.
i'm not sure i see a reversal pattern?

he's right... steve nison uses this term in his books, "window" instead of gap . it's kinda classical

3 charts on g-j. just my view. another rally is possible on trendline break (40min chart), to challenge last week gap (208.57) or even go higher (209.83, check daily chart).
on the other hand, trendline break on daily means a very nice short (i'm thinking 186 or so).
what do you think, lilmoe ?

hehe, i do favor shorts u know that

anyway. there is something, if u check my last post, u see how Geppy have bounced (or just stopped) its movement at 50% fib. that is worrying and it does give a high chance for another rally. BUT. judging that the "rally" stopped at 78.6 fib, i think we might retest at least 38.2 or even 23.6 at 205.97 and 205.19 respectively. 206.60 is tough, and i'm showing that was actually the 50%.

both scenarios are valid. but, since the downwards movement started 4 hours before market close, i don't invalidate a trap, just like last friday's trap. but it went down to close below a weekly TL in the following chart. but closing above or below might not matter.

there's lots of SUPPORT on the way down, and LOTS of resisntance on the way up.


a friend of mine suggested a count of candles before a big move. he also mentioned something about the number 13. i honest forgot what the theory was. (what a memory).

gene also mentioned something about a timespan where things have to complete, and he had this friday in mind but i'm not sure if he gave any more details.

check out this chart. and take a look at how number 13 in the first count did not move an inch upwards. i started the count at the candle of the lowest low of that period (After the huge drop of august of last year.)

by the way, forgot to mention that the pattern took place on GJ way before EU, and that was WHY i mentioned EU was going up last thursday. and i did scale a BUNCH of longs, and closed my shorts at the very first long signal i had on my chart. that was pretty easy money.

i love it when i get 2 exact same patterns one taking place before the other on 2 difference pairs. it's good.

the Japanese commonly refer to a gap as a window.
whereas the western expression in " filling in the gap " the Japanese would say " closing the window "

it is said by Japanese technicians about windows " if dont closed in continuation a window ( window in a downtrend or window in a up trend ) after 3 candle (daily ) we must see a reversed of movement

Dow was down 400 pts on Friday with no bounce in the futures. S/P closed below its last "safe" support level.
Last time this happened G/Y lost 1600 pips in 5 days.

Monday will be rough in the equity markets starting with Japan on Sunday night.

I would not want to be long anything to the Yen.

If fear selling comes into play there will be liquidation across the board. VIX was up to 23.50,(+26.50%) at Friday close.

Fear is what will move the market next week.

I concur for a lil bit higher, then a bounce. Could be a great buying op perhaps also

13? oh well, how about a fibo number (but you knew that)... just another way of wave counting but this time using timelines...
by the way, let's count how many days we have between 192.xx and 209.31... and yes ladies and gentlemen, it's for real, there are 55 daily candles (including the extremes). how about that, 55 is another fibo number. spooky...
just joking, of course. see how you can end up when you play with numbers?
