Poll: Where did you find your very own system/strategy?

As for me I am still working on developing my very own strategy and is still in testing stage. I would like to know where do most traders get their systems from.

You can buy a car and go using it as is.

The same can't be said about a system/strategy. Notice that nobody yet voted " I purchased it and use it as it is."

In a way, it's kind of like how how someone will ask somebody on a date. The main techniques are similar, but no two person will do it in exactly the same way.

So, just like when asking someone on a date, you have to be yourself.

If you blindly buy a system and use it without understanding it, it's like being in Paris looking for a date. You might get lucky. But sooner or later, you're bound to get a swift kick in the nuts when all you can ask is "Voulez vous coucher avec moi ce soir?"

Jay, that's a brilliant way of putting it! I must remember that one.

Yeah it is more of a personality thing, you can give someone a strategy that works for you but not for them just because they different and it's in their blood to make something else of it to suit them or continue their search for the holy grail.
