Possible, but do not be so sure, there are some possibilities on that front, just refer to the Dollar index for refference, once it hits the extreme I was talking about earlier Euro will have a strong surge upwards beyond that fact I would have to zoom in for the next large move.

Does the final 5th wave for the usd/jpy pair that you mentioned must finish below the 1995 low at I think 79.75 or not?

I should have qualified my comment with "in the short term", since I usually post 15 min charts in this thread.

The ECB announcement at 7:45am EDT and the subsequent press conference at 8:30 EDT will obviously have a greater influence and decide if this 1.5400 area is to be a higher low or if the May 8th low of 1.5270 is to be revisited.

I do see bullish divergence on my 4 hour chart.

1130GMT=1230 BST? well I presume you mean 30mins after the news. At the moment we have a doji on the 30min whilst everyone awaits the news...Wonder what would happen if we get a surprise rate cut?

The first intervention happened at 100 level by BOJ, I was trading at that time, it lasted for 6 months and went up 1300 pips to crash down violently later on. At which point there was a joint central bank intervention together with a policy by Clinton administration to raise taxes on all Japanese imports and that was the main catalyst for the rise as our trade gap with the Japan at that time was at very uncomfortable levels. Keep in mind, interventions never work, they will have an effect but the price still has to find it's own way before it chooses to reverse.
