What is the minimum account balance that you would consider trading full time with.

I could exist on 12k/year. But it would have to be in the 35k/year + range for me to do it full time comfortably.

But your answer will be different. I'm me and you're you.

i only need $300 a month, to be alive, that is $100 for electricity and internet bill, $100 for food, the rest is for repair the house and ect....

and i still not a full time

At least $25,000 anything less is more risky.

when i first got started trading and making money my account was 3k and i was living in goverment housing that went by your income, so i reported i had no income and my rent was $25 a month, i had dial-up internet yeah i know $10 month, car insurance $30 month, for food i was getting food stamps from the goverment $165 a month, now i got a condo in the bahamas and trade for a living, man i came a long way.

If I was to start all over again I would put 1 years income in a savings account so as to not put any undue pressure on myself to pay the bills..

Then I would work backwards and decide how much income I require to live comfortably. With this in mind work out how much in a trading account would be required to make this income every year based on a conservative expectation of return as per your system/strategy.

If I was to start all over again, I would need $150k+

Hmm, I wonder if this number goes DOWN with experience. I am a complete beginner (only been trading demo for a month now) and my first thought was "it'd have to be over $100K or I couldn't sleep at night".

So another question to full time traders: was the amount you THOUGHT you needed to go full time (way before you actually WERE full time) less or more than the amount you actually took the plunge with?
