What u think about the g/j? Is it going to fall down or rise up to more than >209?

One thing is for certain, nothing is certain in forex. While many see it as unlikely gbp/jpy will go up to 250, its even more unlikely that shorting at 209 every time will work for the next few months. When everyone is saying the euro will keep going up, it looks rather weak and there's no reason for it not to go down to 1.30, sending usd/chf up to 1.3. With usd/chf , then up goes gbp/chf, and since it trades similar to gbp/jpy, then there goes those two pairs up to 230. If we could all just short at 209 for the next 5 months we would always make pips. If it was that easy, everyone would be making pips all the time. So I'm short gbp/chf over the weekend and want to see a retrace of a few hundred pips, but I don't expect it, as everything is uncertain. Looking ahead for the week, I will throw my biases out the window, and trade only what is the least expected. Have a great weekend everything!

I wouldn't expect it either....eurusd had a 1 day correction bar and friday and most likely will fall which would bring usdchf up. also i am seeing in up move on gu. however...low volume on monday may bring it down on tuesday.....depends how big your s/l is. but...i could be wrong

im sure this has been asked before, but how can i see the current price of jeppy???? and i mean the real price as if it was a late friday night or saturday afternoon, please dont say oanda...

odl stops updating charts at 5 pm eastern U.S. It shows 209.10 as the final tick with 209.39 the peak. I am about to leave but I can post a chart later.

It's a small s/l, but I rather do it that way, and still I have just as much confidence going short, as I would have going long, for the short-term.

Another thing I was thinking, is that if a bank was investing in the eur/usd and looked at their monthly profits, and saw that for the last two months, they were losing money, it's only a matter of time that banks start taking their money out of that pair, and investing it in another, such as the gbp/jpy.

When enough investment banks do that, we'll see no more of this slow up /down movement, we'll see a much faster trend up with yen pairs and a fast trend down with usd pairs, taking out everyone's long or short if caught in the wrong direction.

sounds good to me...i like your thought process.....lots of people here on the geppy short boat. good or bad, i think they forget to want what the market wants.

as for a los s/l on gbpchf.....this pair can retrace up to 100 pips in one bar before continuing down. we also have accellerator osciilator givind us a bullish bar when candlestick says bearish.....before i jump in i'd consult the mystical h1 chart for early trend confirmation with possibly williams %.

Lesson no 1 do not buck the trend!
Second lesson learned is do not forget Lesson 1 or at least wait for a signal prior to take a short trade when trend is up.

Otherwise this is called GAMBLING!

Looks like they won the round 1. I do see your point that the price might move higher on Monday since the previous high is now taken out. Would you mind telling us what the target is that one of your friends aiming for? Thanks in advance.

Are gap up, and gap down, worthy in considering in position taking, somewhat important, or waste of time? Thanks in advance. Gap down of gbp/chf 30 pips, and gbp/jpy no gap , according to xe.
