Just don't see enough momentum to take this up any further. Dow can't hold onto to any of its gain.
Won't be any huge selling til after 5:00 p.m. EST.

Price keeps getting rejected at 15MIN Gann 207.37.

Unless the DOW can do a late day rally I think this is it for the day. Oil is up, VIX is up (time to be careful with any longs). G/Y has some catching up to do with equities.

Major T/L resistance.

But I wouldn't rule out a small rally on DOW last 15 mins...

Price has bounced from Intraday pivot @ 207.19 several times now. . .

If we get a 1hr/4hr close below it then I see back tesing 206.50 support before the next upleg. . .

A close above it and I see 207.60/208.15 as the next short-term target before re-testing 208.99/209 resistance. . .

Let see how it plays out. . . The next 1hr/hr candle closes in 53 min. . .

Triple interest is paid out every Wed at the close of the NY session. If you are holding a long position you will get 3 times the daily interest swap. If you are holding short you will pay out 3 times the daily interest swap.

Hope this helps, wouldn't want to be holding short in negative territory on triple interest Wed. . .

all we need is one more risk-averse event (apropos Bear Stearns) that will benefit the strength of the Yen as seen in other events this past year...Dow is gonna get a kicking in the teeth
Question is: will we exceed the march low

action in the dow pathetic: even when it is up during the morning, volume was measly....Bulls stand no chance; well i hope so anyhow

My TP will be somewhere betwen 207.60/208.15 area then I may look to flip short for a ride down to 206.60/70 area then buy back again at those levels if price holds. . .

Of course this will all depend on my chart signals. If price drops before then, then I'll add to my longs position down there for a ride up to the next leg. . .

This is major bearish divergence on the 30 min chart, reflected in the hr as well, the 4hr divergence is yet to start playing out as well. Also, I have been looking at broker volume a bit, and I notice divergencies that are succesfull tend to have lower volumes. Notice how buyer intensity has waned as prices went higher, well at least at Interbankfx.

Even if this goes up, there is a high probability it won't be sustained. Lets see how it plays out though.

Fix - One of the approximately 5 times during the FX day when a large amount of currency must be bought or sold to fill a commercial customers' orders. Typically these times are associated with market volatility. The regular fixes are (all times NY)

  1. 5:00 AM - Frankfurt
  2. 6:00 AM - London
  3. 10:00 AM - WMHCO (World Market House Company)
  4. 11:00 AM - WMHCO (World Market House Company)- more important
  5. 8:20 AM - IMM
  6. 8:15 AM - ECB
