I only see US finding an alternative for fuel/energy as a solution to the rising oil prices. . . As long as we continue to be dependent, oil prices will continue to soar and could reach 8/10 a gallon over the next year or 2 IMO. . .

I think it goes something like gulf currencies strengthen, dollar value against oil increases, but I am not an economist!

You're right that Canada is now the largest supplier of oil to the USA. There are probably over a trillion barrels there in those oil sands, although much of it is not easily accessible.
The USA has plenty of extra oil within its borders, but the environmentalists won't allow drilling.

this is the BIGGEST they can do, with such "inefficient" energy sources. u need an engine with at least 100 horse power to produce a bigger vehicle
