which are the popular trading instruments.
what is the volume that i can trade without moving the market. for eg. if i buy USDCAD 1000 lots. would it impact the price. force it to move by a pip or two.

A retail trader cannot move the market.

  1. A lot of guys like the volatilty of GBP/JPY.
  2. Others like the EUR/USD and feel it controls the entire market.
  3. Others like the ebb and the flow of GBP/USD.

I know of a person who can destroy the EUR/GBP...

It's a matter of preference. Shorter term traders like less spread...others longer term players don't mind...others look for interest differentials, where others may calculate the bang for the buck and observe ranges and spread cost...Which one are you Grasshopper?
