Does anybody know why I would have the frowning face on my GBP/JPY, but I have the smiley faces on all of the other currencies on my FXDD demo? I have closed the GJ and re-opened it and re-attached the Delight but I still can't get the EA to work on that currency. Any ideas? Thanks!

in the ea settings have you allowed for live trading? can't think of anything else that would do that

Maybe it is good to use a Spread Monitor in the EA ?!

my ballance/equity on friday closing was 3761 (delight ea). Yesterday monday my ballance/equity was 4300+. right now my ballance=3950 and equity=3640. i know the next step is going to be more than 3950 and more than 4300 lets see..

hi
has anyone come across a sesion indicator, ie highlights the chart in one colour for london, one for Us and so on, the reason i ask is rather than telling the EA not to trade from say 1300 to 1800 each day, which would create timezone issues we could ask it not to trade the US session according to the indicator.

first off i need to find the indicator and add it to the charts for the last three weeks to see if there is any correlation between session and drawdown - it's just a theory for now and any input is welcome so far i see the Tuesday london/NY trading times as our weakness - it's almost like we need not trade for 2 days.

this may be a wild goose chase as we always finish the week well, so why fix it.

This is the same theory that I have. I think that 2 days after a weekend or holiday causes draw-downs when US opens. If trader101 will extend the demo for another week I can test this theory and open the terminal on Sunday night then close it Monday morning until around Tuesday late evening. If this works it wouldn't be difficult to write an EA or extend the existing EAs to have the ability to suspend trading for a certain amount of time.

the downside to this is, in a couple of weeks time this theory could be reversed - so do we live with the drawdown or avoid a session all week as part of the program, alternatively we could ask the EA not to trade for 6hrs after gains of XX%, thus we lock in the profit and allow the EA to continue gathering data for the next run, this avoids some of the over trading created by the EA's buy/stop process, if you look at the charts sometimes we lose on the reversals until the EA catches up - so we hit the target, take a break, hit the target, take a break.

again i state these are only ideas, as so far we have made a very healthy profit week in and week out, so do we need to do any of this?? still thats why were testing and reporting our ideas.

The problem is not about the sessions..If you look at the fundamentals.. at 4:30 AM GBP has a very good CPI reports meaning GBPUSD will rise with that weakens the USD so EUR will rise as well Uchf will fall. Now comes the 8:30 the USD core retail report was good.. so the currencies with USD lastnames fall including the GbpUsd. It represent choppiness or a whipsaw effect. which our program become crazy trying to catch up. Most of the major USD report comes around 8:00 ish in the morning. It is also the advent of a new trend if it is different from the last one. In order for our prog to catchup it needs 2 bars to identify. That is the problem. That 2 onehour bars spells the negative pips you encounter. In the next live version, that problem will be taken cared off. Allowing the EA to shift to a lower timeframe chart and to trade immediately at the moves without waiting for the next 2 bars. I have tested it today. At the beginning of the report i was about -300 in that instant but after the 2nd bar i was break even, on the 3rd bar i was up already and riding the trend.

I saw the post in the signals thread. My trades are break even at the moment. I lost eur/aud last night as I was short. I'm basically long $ from last night. I'll look forward to seeing the signals posted again.

thanks for posting, imbiber ..my man.. It is getting harder to catch you and CJ. Well I am thinking of making the Signal thread as our manual traders lounge while this thread will become the robot trader hangout. hows that sound. I know a lot of your fans wants to see your call which they missed a lot, myself included. Right now our trade are in ahole. With NF Iam break even on both the Ultimate and Delight, while the IBFx i am down in a 400 hole, which we are going to climb. I always have this notion that -400 is nothing all i need is a 4 Jpys crosspairs to tp and all is fair and square. Anyways the point i want to raise is about the NF and Ibfx, It seems that NF is always favorable to me, is it because of the lower spread that theyhave?? I think so..If so then it is important to select a broker with the lowest possible spread to be your broker. I could have swera FXCM is the one, however since they are new to MT4 theie are still unstable a lot of freezes like what i encounter for past two days. EA could not get a good data. Reason i lost 200 in just two days with them. I think i am packing and going to another lower spread reputable one. Any suggestions...Anyone..NF is Ok but the process of opening an account with them is like going to a dentist.

NF is not accepting new accounts, they are passing you of to some other group, which suspect have brought them out under last years financial backing rules.

NorthFinance's online brokerage was spun off to another company called FXPro. They are using 6 digit quotes but their spreads are pretty low and they use MT4 platform. They have pretty low spreads and you can trade with up to 1:500 leverage. Worth checking out.

i was just running back over my emails from NF and found the one about FXpro, i will DL it tonight and put delight to the test for the rest of this week, just to see how it runs.

Remember that you'll need to modify the SL and TP settings for it to work with the 6 digit quotes.
