I've been looking back at some of the posts from the last few months, and am wondering whether the EAs, as good as they are, are any better than human trading.

The manual weekly trades that Trader101, Imbiber, Zeejay, and maybe some others here did, were just as profitable, and never had losses even close to 900 pips, since we would close them once they went 300 pips against us.

I understand that the EAs mean less work in the long run, and can open and close trades when we can't be at the computer, but are they better than a human trader?

Of course, once we get the official live release of the EAs, that might not be an issue anymore.

It would be interesting to do a test at the start of next week, between EAs and humans, and see who will win. If anyone has time to enter weekly trades on Sunday, we will see by next Friday whether they can beat the EAs.
I don't know about you but I'm usually asleep or I'm doing something else when the EA is making the winning trades. It's possible that a human can enter the trades manually and watch every movement of the charts but I like my bedtime.

Actually, the trades were entered when the markets opened after the weekend and allowed to run all week, unless there was a major move against us. The whole idea was that we wouldn't have to stay at the computer the whole time.

Ive been wathching the ultimate trader and noticed alot of positive trades that end up loses. if you added a multiple lot entry with take profit for each lot entered I think you may increase your profits IE; exit first lot + 20 2nd lot + 30 third lot let ride.

Thank you for your suggestions.. The intensive backtesting of this EA was done for 3 months, we curve fit all the profit management techniques available including one of your suggestions. Sad to say we end up this tp and sl that you are seeing now is the most profittable. Considering all the possibilities of max drawdown, traders ability to finance the account, etc. Sometimes, i am tempted to do the same because it seems that the looks of it your suggestions seems nice but if you really go down the wire, most of this profit management techniques dont really work as good as we thought they were. Once again thanks for your suggestions.

Another down day but nothing to be frustrated. Just follow the "euity" numbers. We lost one day and gained back another... today's loss was relatively small.

7th day: @ 5 pm EDT 29th April:

Both Ultimate and Delight were running at +1,200 levels, at around NOON time EDT. This phenomena is usual as most of you have noticed. Am personally tempted to bank the peak gain for the day.

T101 - if close all positions at seemingly near-peak time (or at some set $$$) and cut off EA, and re-activate EA b4 Asian session, do this every day, what would be the overall results, based on the logic?

10th day: @ 11 am EDT 2nd May:

Ultimate/Delight equity once hit around $10,950 at around 10 am. When to close by observation is not easy. Would be nice if EA had an option to bank certain $$$ or % of equity and after suspension start b4 Asian session, so that we can accumulate the gains.

All MT4 brokers will try to let EA fail because demo server are totally different with live server,right?
so live account EA test shoudl start now,to find best broker is a problem.

Our good friend trader101 has been doing parallel testing of the EAs on his live account for at least 3 months now so rest assured that the results of the demo trades and live trading will be very close. I will be also live trading soon and before we release the commercial version.

Hi Calculon or trader 101,

Do you have any idea when would you release the commercial
version of the ea and will it be a paid version?

I don´t wanna rush the release or point the finger to anyone, i´m
just curious about the conditions of the commercial versions and when
can we start making real money with this excellent ea´s.

Believe us when we tell you that you aren't the first person who is anxious about the live version release. There have also been many enterprising individuals who have contacted trader101 with various business proposals for his EA in hopes to get "unlimited" access to copies or to get a copy of the source code and get a piece of the profits which is of no surprise to me personally.

We're still working out the details of the commercial version. We are certain that we will offer both "managed forex" as well as a subscription service to the EA with discounts depending on how many months you pay for in advance.

Our biggest question right now is whether or not we will only offer the EA to an exclusive audience due to the possibility that some thief will decide to decompile the EA in an effort make their own product to sell. This is the reason why we're leaning more towards the "managed forex" model at this point in time until we can decide on a way to prevent the risk of reverse-engineering either through DLL obfuscation techniques or making the EA download part of the trading logic from a server during initialization again through DLL calls. I'm sure most of you can understand the hesitation involved behind releasing an unprotected version of the EA to the general public.

I totally understand and agree with what you are saying here because YOU KNOW someone will indeed try to decompile the EA and then sell it as their own product when T101 has done all the hard work in making the EA and he is the one who deserves to make money (and recognition) on his own product! I congratulate him and a big thanks to T101 on all his hard work he has done and sharing it with all of us here!

I totally understand your precautions about the ea release.
If you decide to sell or make it available with a monthly subscription
i would appreciate that you could take into consideration the lots used.

Ex: if i trade a 3000$ acount with 0.1 lots and i have to pay 200$ month
subscription would it be easier then trade 300$ account with 0.01 lots.

If the ea´s continues to perform like we´ve seen, it´s more then fair you
charge a value for it.

Congratulations to trader 101 and all that helped to develop this ea´s.
Hope to hear news from commercial version soon.

What kind of Alpari account is this? I don't see USD/SEK pair in my Alpari forex-usd or forex-eur account.

I tested ultimate traderV2 this week it ended up 200 pips but it was up 1000 at one stage it made a very good fight back from its drawdown which is very impressive and important. Is there still an Ea version that is being tested as i belive that v2 has a stop test date of 10 may in it. Keep up the great work trader101 you have a good product here. Just waiting so see the future direction that you are going to take with this.

I am sorry i am a little tied up with all the data analyis of the 3EAs that we are doing. But i promise you once we are clear i will resume the trade calls that we keep doing this is for those that like manual trading, just like before..

I have a simple suggestion to all that are trading the EAS we have. If we happend to be down in our trading say Monday or Tuesday, do you mind avoiding making some comments like.. "We are so down already, I dont know if we could come back?" or "This is not good, i am losing plenty already" and the like. These comments are read by those trading and what happend they become demoralized and closed their trade later to realized that it is coming back now. Currently it does not have a lot of impact since we are only demoing, but if you are trading live, the drawdown of $300.00 keeps your heart jumping already, and what happend if you read comments like this??? We should be more supportive in our comments, or not comments at all. Live trading involve emotions believe me.. a lot of it. I am not holding you back on supportive comments.
