I took your advice and looked at all the attachments, I'm still puzzled why the latest version of the Anaconda (posted May 6th) is a single line on my 15M chart though, all the images posted appear to have multiple lines

Thanks for such an interesting thread. Can you help me figure out how to have the buy/sells of PSAR in colors. Years ago, trading futs, prob on esignal, I had red/green PSARs and I think I had them colored in MT at one time but can't find any indie now.

So you hear the alert you know it's time to look at the charts and wait for an entry using the anaconda as a guide or using it with supernova indicators. I just use the snake!

I have not seen you on this thread since late summer of 2007, LOL!! Welcome back! We are still in an ongoing test phase with the EA that was initially formed out of the conglomerate of indicators you find on the ZIP file!

Please follow the posts I just pointed out and get back on the engine! The setfiles can be found easily enough then! Hope you have a good time by catching up here!

By "just use the snake" do you mean you simply go long above and short below? Seems very simple if so!

I tried to read as much as I can today to catch up but wow it is too much. and all is good stuff and new indicators, but principle still the same.
I did try the the SuperNova EA (Glenn) v1.4 on demo today it worked ok but I didn't find discussion about the settings used. what stop loss take profit and other settings. I downloaded one file .set but I didn't know if it is for skyline EA or trendchaser.
I will keep reading and will try to be more back here I like this thread everybody her is friendly and helpful.

Hallo Andy!

Guess Cryten means - use the template posted in the last few days for either the majors or the yen pairs. Then use the Anaconda.mq4 by Trendchaser with it in order to have the alerts.
The Snake aka Anaconda is only really the 9EMA with multiple levels. So you need that in any case. The coded indicator is an extra courtesy of our friend Trendchaser!

To all newbies jumping in on this thread, my UNeducated advice would be to start at the beginning, load each and every version u see, and PLAY with it, play and test the goddam hell out of it, read what other people ave to say and suggest, try that, and then move onto the next one version , be it MT or EA (but better MT in the first)- then you will ave a fine idea of what can/won't work, what indicators to look to for trade or no, and how to change/tailor it to YOUR trading style, YOUR risk/reward level..
'Tis all about pence & pounds, pips & candles..take it a tiny bite at a time, don't gulp..it'll still end up in your stomach/pocket, either way..

But seriously, or rather more seriously - we ave snakes now?
Anyone care to enlighten me on current versions of MT and EA, so I at least I ave an idea of how many revisions of testing (hell, but fun educational) I ave to go through to get current?
I currently on Supernova MTv2 (not sure how to get version of MT indicator - anyone?) and when MT4 smiles it tells me the EA is 1.4 - though I 'hear' back where I am in thread ther is a EA 1.5 coming up.. )

Congrats, ladies and gents - has been a pleasure to read so far, if arduos at times with some (plenty) sidetracking - but a very entertaining, informative and educating read

I see my post was a little unclear due to the fuzzy state of my noggin at the time - when I refer to MT I mean Manual Trading, not MetaTrader (that would be MT4 to me..)
Question has sorta been answered by mphpopular question - just use the indicators that come along with the EA..

So without further ado I shall slink back into the deep dark history of this thread and continue my travels forward..almost halfway here..

Sorry to intrude w/off topic question but I am having difficulty understanding how to handle some indicators esp. .mq4. I have a zillion .ex4 indies and they all work just fine. I also have a ton of .mq4 which I do not know what to do with. There all loaded into my indies folder but are not even found in my indies folder within MT. I'm especially trying to use the colored PSAR which cryten offered me but I already have that but as a mq4

What to do?

So many thanks to all and I will definitly contribute to this thread as soon as I have something intelligent to offer.

BTW, before posting this I searched the entire internet-found tons of indie sites but nothing as basic as my question. I even got to the end of the internet!

Thanks for that Matt, I've been having a very good run using the principles in Imran's GBPJPY thread, on most currency pairs, but it never hurts to sample other ideas, even just as confirmation of a potential trade from another system.
