I switched to delight this week after having the ultimate off and on for the past two weeks. I know we have holidays all over affecting volatility but still the delight sort of bores me . I like the quick fire rapid deals of ultimate and I think I'll switch back tomorrow. The delight also seems to hang on to losers longer than the ultimate. Anybody else try both? Which do you like more?

i'm running both, and to be perfectly honist, i hadn't thought about it much, i loaded them on to the laptop, started them up and closed the lid, i check them once or twice a day - now thats sweet trading to me.

they seem to have similar results and i can live with seeing the end of week results from either of them.

i can see why, but if i sit and look, i want to touch and play. so i trade of my PC and leave the laptop to do it's thing, not sure what i'll do when i go live with it - twiddle my thumbs, no, better look busy or she'll find me somethnig to do.

Actually, i'll probably just continue to trade the way i do now, and do my thing, finding new ideas to study and toy with, stops the bordom setting in.

can't hurt to have a backup plan, after all you never know what the brokers are going to do.

Do I have to aplly the EA on a specific time frame? Can I run the three EA at the same time. How can I know wich EA is taking a trade to compile the result of each one EA?

All details in the link and from what I understand it applies to all 3 ea's. Run default settings for each EA. Hope this helps.

hello trader,

i don't know how active this thread is. maybe someone could help me.

i refer to post #2107 from trader101. i'd like to papertrade his system.
i don't know if this system was improved until now.
what i need are: what indicator do i have to use? when are the entries at which timeframe? trade at NY and london session, right?
are there some prefered pairs to trade? exit is 400 pips of all open positions? do i really need the usdollar index for the main trend? if yes, which site predict the daily index?
did i forget something?
i do not want an EA to run automaticly. i will papertrade it manually.
maybe someone is willing to put it all into a .zip file with a little describtion.

i also read about a scalping system. did someone trade it and how is the performance. only for interest. it is not impossible to trade every minute because of my daily job.

i would suggest running the EA in demo, this system is reliant on you trading the 13pairs together, and i don't see anyone doing that manually without a great deal of stress.

running EA is ok. but which?. there are 3 outside there. and 3 for mini accounts, right?. do they have an alert function? well if i want later go live then i should be alert and set my trades.
trader101 adviced me to look into the last 20 pages to get the system.
maybe i'm willing to write down the overall rules into a .doc file.

Thus avoiding the dreaded margin call. I designed the EA such that to drop the nonperforming pair as quickly as it confirms non profitability in order not to strain the required margin. The 3000 initial capital that i estimate is just enough to be called a little aggresive trading. I hope i clarify a little sketicism. Thanks

What happens when your MT4 loses connection to the broker such as when IBFX reboots their demo servers every night? Will the EA lose the variables since MT4 unloads all EAs whenever you reconnect?

It seems that we have our first "serious" drawdown today. Not really, only about 7 %, but still the worst in the last 2 weeks.
Actually this is good because it will teach us how robust the system is and how long it will take to recover.
By the way MIG is doing better than Alpari. No idea why.
Between delight Vers. 2 and 3 is almost no difference, Vers. 2 little is marginal better.

Today wasn´t a good day for ultimate and delight.
Almost 900 pips down. It lost almost all the last week profit.

Surprisingly best in holding the profit from the last week.
Just a few pips down.

Hope tomorrow it gain a lot of pips.

Very dreadful market, first time i encounter this drawdown. This is what we call the Brokers Delight. Very choppy and quick, the EA is not able to cope up with the change in currency behavior. Right now i am over 600 pips under.
If i could keep my margin i will keep the trades and hope that tonight the market will behave like the way it always is. Please watch out for your margin guys, (free margin) for those with limited equity. This is a part of trading, but please dont get disappointed, there is always another day. The good thing with these is only the data that it is providing to us for analysis.

so far MiG ultimate is holding up fine down around $10.00 for the week on the balance, and $250 in the hole on the open trades,

account started the week just over $6000 on a 1:100 trading 0.1 lots and to think i nearly traded 0.2 lots, i'd have lost $20 ouch. LOL

wednesday tomorrow and we always win the tail end game. lets see what happens this week.

Yes, I am down around 400 with the Delight on FXDD, but I let it keep running over the weekend. That's probably where the discrepancy is between my 400 and Trader101's 600.
Life is too short to have anything but delusional notions about yourself.

This is a good idea. We should analyze today's data and figure out what went wrong and how we can make the EA work better in this specific condition.

Im down as well on all 3 EA's after good beggining this week for Ultimate and Tdelight. Ultimate and Tdelight both down around 600 pips. Tbest with TS lost around 400++ pips right from the beggining of the week but is gaining it slowly back now. Right now equity is down by ~260 pips.

Bad week for sure but from what i saw last week, its not over till its over. Ultimate was down more than 300 pips just to come back and see 900+ pip gain 2 times last week. I feel furious comeback on the way.

$3k 1:100 is too dangerous for 0.1 lots on Alpari is seems but its just demo so its good stress test.

Please tell me, why is 1:100 not good and 1:400 is? What advantages does the last one have above 1:100? And then I am referring to costs, profits, spread and margin call.
