VT platform features are good, but the broker(cms) is the worst in the industry. They do everything to mess your trades up. Stay away...

The platform is very good, probably the best one for charting, even if somehow slow at times.
As a minus it doesn't allow Stop Loss and Take Profit orders with market orders, you have to provide them separately. I have a live account with CMS (not CMS International) and so far I didn't see major problems but I trade almost entirely using their API not VTTrader

This is the second time you say bad things about CMS. I ask you again to provide some more details about your problems with CMS.
I'm not saying that they are good, just that I want to know more about they.

As with everything in this world you will have to try and find out. That's the great thing about forum's you will find the good, bad and the ugly and could also leave more confused than when you came in.

CMS have loads of backing/cash a very good platform. but connectivity has been an issue in the past it has improved lately

Check out the chart patterns.
They don't have interbar trading and that causes problem's for some.
Their coding by Chris and the team is second to none.

If you have a Auto Trading System they can attach the ATM Active Trade Management system for SL,TP Time filter Trailing Stop either in PIPS or ATR etc.

I suppose you mean intrabar.
This is a problem only if you use a Trading System and you want some intrabar action. Not everyone who uses VTTrader uses a Trading System.

These are fancy words for saying that you can use an out-of-the-box trading system which simulates a trailing stop.
This has nothing to do with the fact u cannot place a market order simultaneously with SL/TP orders for it like in many other platforms.

I like their platform alot.
In some cases it's way better than MT4.
1. You have seperate Windows for each chart. Good for multi monitor setups.
2. Placing orders is way easier and faster. Trade from the chart.
3. Billions of build in Indicators.
4. Price Feed alot faster.

Hi, Any have that chart patterns feature working? where chart patterns are identified?

In talking about this vt trader, i installed it over the weekend and was really looking forward to the chart pattern identification feature. When i went to technical analysis and chart patterns, only the completed patterns are displayed. When i selected filter and select the emerging patterns option, not a single chart appears.

Pretty sure it says somewhere on their site you need a live account to see the emerging patterns.

I blew up my CMS free 50 USD account last week. I dont know how to put SL and TP. When the market go against me, I have to close my open position manually. If I am not around my computer, that's the end.

Charts look nice and price running smoothly, too bad I cannot use those for trading.

Don't much care for the platform, tho it might have improved since I last tried it. But tried the Excel API interface (on demo) and it was sooooo ssllllooowwwwww to get an order filled.

CMS Forex is regulated by the NFA. Due to NFA's rule 2-43(b) implemented last year which deals with hedging and FIFO restrictions, it's not possible to attach stop and limit orders to individual positions/orders. HOWEVER, you can still use entry stops/limits and One Cancels Other (OCO) orders to protect your open positions.

CMS Forex made some video tutorials explaining the changes. They can be viewed by using the "Quick Video Guides" link (go to the "Trading" section once the video window opens) at the following URL:
http://www.cmsfx.com/en/trading-soft...s/video-guides

Here's another good link explaining the various order types available in VT Trader:
