Just trying to keep Aus's hard work alive and stop people from yelling short/long with know justification. It muddy's up the thread and I'm sure it confuses many newbies on the thread as well. . .

no, we are not there. that was a daily chart. not a good choice to add longs or shorts based on that.
you would want to buy dips, not add on tops... so, look for a dip on h4 or h1 and buy it. just wait until you see OS conditions on oscillators and then enter on a trendline break. WAIT.
here's an h4 and an m40. i don't see any signs of a possible dip. i put previous support levels on h4 (204.73) and m40 (208.03 and 204.28), but that's just a rough indication... it might not get there.
on m40 i also put a green trendline and an arrow to indicate how i opened my last position @ 203.87: OS stochastic (hidden bullish divergence) and trendline breakout. look for something similar but stick to the main trend.

Hi Guys,

Great job for all the Geppy Bulls out there
Just a heads up for all of you who are still long. There is an important confluence of 2 major Fibofans retracements coming in around 209.47.
Both are 38.2% retracements of the fibofans from the bottom of April 1995 to the top of July 2007 (violet color), and the one from the top of July 2007 to the recent bottom of March 2008 (red color). As you see on the bottom left side of the chart, the price jumped off the 50% retracement level of the big Fibofan (the one from 1995). Just a food for thought, nothing else.

Here is another tidbit for u for today - then I'm done. . .

This why it is also important to study higher TF charts beacuse the market is cyclic and past history can always give you a glimpse of the future or where price could be headed. . .

Notice the yellow lines/price (resistance/support) dated back from 2005 and how it correlates to today's price in 2008. . . Also notice wher price is currently and relate that back to 2005. Notice where price could go to meet more resistance or where price could go for support. . .

It's always best to study monthly, weekly, daily then decide from lower TF's where you might want to enter based on your analysis instead of guessing or yelling "WHERE IS GJ GOING TODAY - UP OR DOWN" or "GJ GOING TO TANK TODAY, I'M SHORT!"

If you are a trader you should have a good idea where price could head based on analysis and TA. So please justify your claims with charts not BS it clutters the thread and drives good traders who offer excellent knowledge away from this thread!

It can't be right, it has trended 1000 pips without any significant retrace. Show me, if anybody, any of of Geppy trending more than 1000 pips without a good retrace

Q, awesome explanation and charting bro. I totaly agree to looking at higher time frames and looking at past history. But this whole up move was realted to fundementals I mean all our technical analysis just past week was showing more down to come even a lot of FOREX sites that do technical analysis were yelling out more down so I dont understand how can we look at previous history to look at present and future situations. Whatever is happening today did not occur in the past. Credit Crunch, Housing Slump I mean Bear Stearns survived the depression era but crumbled with the Credit Crunch. I just dont think whatever is happening today can be realted to the past history. Its just a crazy ass market.

I agree, it is too easy after events happened to tell what happened and why. It is soo hard to predict the future, look in you crystal ball and say YES.. this is what I see. I agree, that this move is too big for a one or two days move. It is rear, and it is based on more fundamental than technical analysis.

yep amazing. . .

Here is a chart I posted several days ago which gives an example of TA/ analysis which shows where price could go. . .

I sat on the sidelines up until last night, I entered long last night when price re-tested 203.45 area support and held, set SL just below the daily pivot 202.90 area and went to sleep. . .

That one trade this week was worth 550 pips in one day. . was well worth the wait!
