Hi Mer,
I was using V4 today on my GBP/JPY trade. It closed out on the 4th entry but then reopened a new series instantly. I was using a timed entry of 0700. I was wondering if anyone else xperienced this with V4?

I'll have to talk to my coder, this was supposed to be fixed in V.3 but he must have changed something in V.4, sorry.
The only thing my coder said he fixed in V.4 was the CheckForSignals() function of the EA. I had V.4 on my platform last night and it did not re-enter any new sequences for me.
Today was easy. My first entry in the EUR/USD reached its goal. I've used a price entry: support in the hourly chart.

For the EUR/USD I use 10/40, for the EUR/JPY I use 20/80.

Do you use support resistance but enter at any time, or do you mind your time of day also?
I enter at s/r during the London session. If it doesn't happen there I remove the order.

Hey Mer! The EA V4 was done with its sequence at take profit and then all of a sudden, it opened up another sequence. Here are the details:

Opened at 8:00 GMT eur/usd and closed with TP at 12:00 GMT on 8th trade. Then at 12:40 GMT EA took off by itself and I manually shutdown EA and closed 1st trade in sequence for small TP at 12:44 GMT.

Looks like a bug on this one. Take care!

Thanks. I'll have to check my settings again. The only thing that I did was set the slippage setting to zero to see what happens. That's the only thing I can think of. My GBP/JPY trade did it again today. Closed on the 2nd entry, and then opened another series right away (and chewed up 11 levels). I guess I'll redownload it again and start over. What does the slippage setting do again? I know what slippage is, I'm just not sure what the slippage setting does. If the spread is 5 and I put the slippage setting on 3, does that mean if the spread widens larger then 8 during a news event, or something, the EA won't enter any orders until the spread falls below 8?

Ok. Do you use natural s/r or do you use the calculated pivots or both? Also, what time frame do you use?

I personally like the 4h time frame for s/r and I look for price action at those natural and calculated pivots in my regular trading.

Yes, 4h s/r looks good. Usually I use the hourly timeframe and just simple 1-2-3 patterns to enter (higher highs, higher lows and vice versa).

I have him look at it again, in the mean time just use V.3 on post #1.
I followed this Semi martingale approach but at some time i remember it happened twice on EUR JPY it tooked me down like 25 trades
and i got A MARGIN CALL THANK GOD it was demo.

But i think this is a great EA .... if there is one change a person can code...i.e. rather then buying and selling...
Let the EA also add only do one way trading i.e to Buy or Sell ...

so if a person wants he can only trade for Buy side with the lot size as this approach...

I have still to find one instance on EUR JPY with this that it would go beyoind 10 th loss..

I just want to say only go long with this system . Can i do it with any EA .... i saw those and it seems to be going long and short ...whereas i just want to go long...

I had the same issue last night with the EA entering a new sequence after the first one finished. My coder has now added a function called "RestartNewCycle" to the EA. If you want the EA to start a new sequence immediately after the original sequence closes, enter True, otherwise leave it on the default setting of False. I hope this fixes the problem, if not guys let me know.

I had closed the current sequences on all the pairs that it had re-opened on and removed V.4 from the charts, still made a profit though. V.5 is added to post #1.

From now on I'll use simple price entries. I already use a 5m scalping entry technique which should be a very good entry for this approach here as well. It should reach its target in the first levels most of the time:
