Sounds like you have it tweaked to fit your lifestyle! Thats what I like about fx, there is a fit for everyone. Problem is figuring it out. Once you go through the learning curve, its really nice.

I haven't noticed that glitch because I use a remote trading desktop on a 24/7 supervised server, so I know I will always be up and running. I got that service because I've had problems with my ISP and connection with it falling off at times in the past! That was last year though.

Anyway here are my results for last session:

Opened eur/usd @ 10:00 GMT; 40Pip TP hit at 4th trade in sequence at 13:54 GMT. Third trade was a breakeven trade.

PowerSM V.3 is now in post #1. The expert will now check the last order from history once it is restarted to get the last sequence step if the platform is closed or if there are any issues with a power outage.
Good afternoon guys, my Eur/Usd for 4/9/2008 closed out again like normal (ho-hum). I'm going to test the new version tonight on my Usd/Jpy & Usd/Chf pairs as I started my EA and once the trades were placed I shut down the platform. I will restart it tomorrow morning to see if it picks up where it left off this morning. If all is well, I will update the progress tomorrow.

all you have to do is download the EA from post #1, then watch this:

Ok, now that all the bugs are out I'm going to start a fresh test on these 5 pairs:

Eur/Usd
Usd/Jpy
Usd/Chf
Eur/Chf
Gbp/Usd

The pairs will use a 40 pip TP, 30 pip BE, and 10 pip stop except Gbp/Usd will use 60/45/15 with 100k devoted to each pair at 200:1 leverage. I will also adjust the start time to 05:00 which currently is 12:00 Est. or 06:00 GMT with a stop time of 16:00 which is 11:00 Est. or 17:00 GMT. You will have to adjust your inputs to match your broker's time. Here are the first nights results for 4/10/2008.

eur/usd: opened at 12:30 GMT and closed out tp40 at 13:40 GMT on the 10th trade in the sequence. I could have let it run another sequence and would have gotten another 40pips but discipline won't let me!

Hey Walt, thanks for the comments, had you tried the EA out? I also stuck my PowerSwing day trading strategy up also. If you get bored, I'd wouldn't mind hearing what you think about it.
Used your EA today in my live account. Did work very well on the EUR/USD.

Just a question. Do I have to disable the EA over the weekend, as it might try to open a position tomorrow which will lead to errors?

If it's on a timed entry it won't open a position until the market opens back up at whatever times you have it set for.

Not a problem, you know, just to feel safe you can always turn the EA off on the platform if it'll make you feel better . I don't know if you'd mind but maybe you can help post your trade statement (blocking out the info of course) so other can see how it's doing on a live account.

What size, leverage, pair or pairs, and broker are you using?
Sure. I use Alpari UK. Currently I trade only the EUR/USD but think about to use the Lucky-7-Setup on the EUR/JPY as well...

I use my own progression system. So I'll end up always with about $40.

Sort of the same for me... timed entry... 7gmt... I use a 16 trade progression that yields 20p per day on the EU, for every $5000 in account. Then for the remaining 8 trades, it yields breakeven. This reduces the ultimate risked amount, figuring that we will rarely get beyond 16 trades. If we do, I am content to breakeven vs. have a higher risked amount...

I use FXDD.

WOW!!! My EU just ran it's 24 trade sequence this morning for a complete losing sequence?? 7gmt timed entry, 24 losses... go figure??

6gmt entry would have won on the first or second entry, depending on buy/sell .....
Thanks Xaron, that's what it's all about, the ability to adapt this to your own trading style.

mrkam, sorry to here you hit 24. Strange, I've never gone past 9-10 levels on my Eur/Usd. I don't know what your settings are but to go that far on this pair something might need to be adjusted a touch. I know I've adjusted my entry time to start an hour before the Frankfurt open and seems to work out great.

nice one..did this kind of setup ever fail a progression yet on eurusd? If yes how many times does it succeed against the times it doesnt?
Yea, Mer, kind of a bummer! Settings are default, 10SL, 40TP, using your 30 breakeven etc... starting at 7gmt... (I thought 7gmt was an hour before Frankfurt??? if not, my miscalc....) What is your gmt start time, and do you change for Standard/DST??

I could post the screenshot, but it might be too painful!!

But to answer somebodies question, YES IT CAN HAPPEN!!! It did, last night... but maybe the time was wrong, even at that, I would say it STILL can happen...

YES IT HAPPENED last night on my demo also IBFX default EA setting.
It will surely happen sometime someday, please take caution.
