and wasnt cramer the one screaming at bernanke a while back for acting too slow? i was critical of cramer at that time (i never like to see people disrespect the fed chairman) but turns out he was dead right and now the fed is trying to play catch up.

I hardly watch the show, but last night I was flipping channels and caught part of the show. A viewer wrote him about this and brought up this incident. Cramer said the email he was responding to for this incident was the person asking if he should close his trading account with Bear Sterns, it was not a question about the stock. If this is true, then the clip on The Daily Show was out of context.

I think given Cramer's outstanding track record and high end analytic and predictive capabilities("BUYBUYBUYBUYDOWAT15KANYDAYNOW") there is no need to pounce on a singular event with such viciousness.

i had originally sided with Cramer on this one, but after further review i think this is just a big excuse for making one of the loudest mistakes in financial history. booo-you Cramer!!!

btw, that Daily Show segment on the financial markets the other day was absolutely hilarious! i just looked on youtube but couldnt find it, anyone got a link?

That's what I would say if questioned too. Sort of like "Honey, this isn't what it looks like."

Sometimes, the whole point of the daily show is to take things out of context and make a compelling case that when grouped with other seemingly out of context statements, they portray a very accurate picture.

wow i just rewatched that "they know nothing" video...cramer looks pretty damn smart right about now!!

people thought he was crazy on that day (me included) but in hindsight his alarm bells were totally warranted. good for you cramer!!

My fav part is the "He has NO IDEA how bad is out there. NO IDEA. He has NO IDEA...They're nuts!!! They're nuts!!!"
