Broker for 17 year-old?

Go ahead and take the next step to let the world know that you are 17. Might as well write it out on your forehead with a sharpie.

Teenagers these days always try to prove that they are something...Always trying to display that they are a prodigy.

interesting question, but chasing girls at 12 is somewhat unrealistic and well..at 17 you should start thinking about what you do with your life..i mean if you actually want to do something with it or waste it until you realize one day you're 30 for instance, still living with your parents, on a minimum wage and not good at anything in particular.i've met plenty of people like that.

not that there's something particularly wrong with it, but i don't think everyone wants that kind of life.i see nothing wrong in starting to look out for your future from an early age, even if that means taking a great deal of interest in such a dismal topic as finance and forex for example.

but back to the topic....20k still is a lot.try considering what Tjpld mentioned...maybe you could take your class to dinner instead as well?

Mr. Ronald first make the money, then you will not even bother about getting attention or making donations. Its exactly for kids like you that they make the 18 year law. Otherwise you might as well take a loan to donate to prom or make some speech.

Ain't nothing wrong with any of that, just trying to get the whole forum to know that you're 17 is absurd. Srsly, who gives a crap if someones 17, 15, or 99... It's not like it matters. we get it now "your'e a 17 year old forex prodigy trader" cool, you will be 18 next year, and 19 the next. You need to tell us every birthday? Create a blog, if you're not on myspace already with a headline title...

I never was much of an athlete, and I don't have a girlfriend, I have many. (ok, not really girlfriend, but friends that happen to be girls).

Besides, paying my way through college (personal expenses, not tuition) is something I'd like to think about.
Ronald, if I am not wrong, there are laws that states that anyone under the age of 18 (in my country) are not bound to any contracts signed by them. So I am not surprised if brokers actually reject you. I tried with EFX and got rejected by them because they actually only accept 21 years and above. But still, I believe that you'll be able to get a broker, BUT, that broker will probably be illegal/unregulated/scam shop.

But I just wanted to add, don't let this stop you. Demo trade and build up your skills and when you're finally 18 and able to open an account, it'll all come back. Overeagerness can kill. I remembered waiting to be 18 and when I was, I started blowing money.

Oh and to all those people who wants to trade for a living, keep up at it. I'm a prop trader/trainee now at a local prop shop. I think I'm the youngest here. It definitely is do-able. I'm 20 now btw.

That is the funniest thing I have ever heard hahaha
Since you will trade with your own money I can't see why your parents won't co-sign your account. unless you don't want them to know how much you're making.

The only risk i see is if you use 99% of your margin on every trade during NFP and it flies 100 pips against you and your broker had to cover with a market order a mile away from your stop. otherwise there's not much to worry about.


but about paying for everyone's prom you're a fantastic guy for thinking like that.
