Just curious about something that I've always wondered.
Why does the FX market "open" at 8am EST - an hour and a half before the equities market?
We all know that it's a non-centralized market - so how can there be an "open"? Do bank FX traders get to work 2 hours before the equity guys?
Just curious to hear some opinions.
