Go to \tester\logs in your mt4 folder and delete the logs you see there. Do this every time you use vhands and you can control the problem.

is there someone who can code a way to use multi time frames on vhands? is there an upgrade that can be requested to the makers?

having only one time frame at a time really limits testing

This is a limitation of the MT4 strategy tester. Upgrading vHands can't change that. Remember strategy tester is for backtesting an automated strategy. Since you woudn't change timeframes while an EA is running, there's no need for that option during backtesting.

I'm not sure if anyone still monitors this thread, but I sure could use some assistance with Vhands.

I'm trying to run Vhands for the first time.

My Experts folder from Interbank FX Trader 4 contains Vhands trade.

Indicators folder includes VHistory and VTerminal.

In my Metatrader, I created a new template and drug VHistory and VTerminal onto my new chart, pressed ok, and saved it.

Then opened Strategy Tester.
Expert Advisor: I have VHands Trade selected.
Symbol: G/U.
Model: Every Tick
Use Date: 1/10/08 - 4/9/08 (I had 2 yeras ago but I read sometimes data not available for long periods back)
Visual Mode box is checked.

I hit start and my chart says "Waiting for Update".
I pressed the pause button, thinking this might jump start it but nothing happens.

Went to my "Journal" tab in Strategy Tester, and it says "Vhands Trade:loaded successfully".
In same Journal tab it also says, "TestGenerator: no history data 'GBPUSD60'".

Does anyone have advice to troubleshoot? Please let me know.

I think this is not a vHands problem. I was getting a message like this recently when trying to run strategy tester on another EA. I tried the next day and everything worked ok.

You were correct. Seems to be working fine. Just a little slow for the candle's to form, but I believe there's a way to speed things up a bit. Will check in the thread.

Thanks bud!

Wow. Vhands is pretty cool. Narf.

No.

That is just the compiled code of the vHandsTrade.mq4 file.

Hello, not sure if this been asked, but is it possible to make vHands paint each bar in one go. i.e, when testing on a daily TF, have vHands paint each daily bar without having to wait for 24hrs worth of pips to be displayed?

Thanks.

You could choose the open prices model, try that, I think it will do what you want.

But you won't have a chance to do anything during the day, it should click off one day at a time.
