Thought I would post this 30 minute chart showing how I am using daily pivots on the geppy.
As noted, I calculate using the OHLC at 2100 GMT of any given day (Sunday being a little weirder). I then calculate the Mid Points by dividing the difference between each main pivot by two, and if price seems to warrant it on a slower ranging day for instance, I will also calculate the mid points of those the same way. I call those a QP or quarter point to avoid confusion. I have hi-lited the Price Action in yellow. If I am lazy or in a hurry, I use actionforex.com's pivots, but only after double checking their OHLC data with mine. If it's close or matches, I'm all good.
You can get more PA detail on a 5 or 15 minute chart if you'd like. I left out the QP's right above and below the Central but the PA respected those levels pretty well also.
I do NOT use autocalc pivot things of any kind, so I know nothing about them. I have put in limit orders using these levels with good success so far,
Some of this is still a work in progress. Any and all constructive input or questions welcomed. Use it if you can, ignore it if you can't.
