I'm looking for that multi timeframe indicator that can be used to make 12 hour, 8 hour, 6 hour charts etc for mt4. I think I saw that software indicator on forex factory before but cannot find it anymore. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Paris

Are you look for period_converter.mq4?

From mql4:
Use this script to make nonstandard timeframe of symbol based on standard timeframe. For example, to make 3-hours timeframe H3 for selected symbol you should:

1. Open H1 chart.
2. Attach to chart 'Period_converter.mq4' MQL4 file from 'Script' folder of 'Navigator' window.
3. On 'Common' tab check 'Allow DLL imports' and clear 'Confirm DLL function calls' checkbox.
4. On 'Inputs' properties tab please set 'ExtPeriodMultiplier' variable value to 3 (you'll get H1*3 = H3).
5. Click OK.
6. Open H3 chart in offline mode ('File – Open Offline'). H3 chart will be updated every 2 sec (by default) while H1 chart with attached 'Period_converter.mq4' will be opened.

You raise an interesting point.

For years I've been gawking at the NY cut (5pm Eastern Time).
Then, awhile back, I realized that a large part of the Forex world has been looking
at the GMT Midnite cut for decades and trading accordingly.

For 1HR and under it really wont change much, but for 4HR and Dailiy charts
obviously it has an effect on Pivots, OHLC, price indicators, etc;.

Now, I'm not about to go back and retro-fit everything for GMT anymore than
I'm going to drive on the other side of the road or start drinking tea intead of coffee.
However, a quick study will indicate that GMT computations are valid as well
and many times are an accurate price referrence when plugged into the mix.

So, what to do ? Just pick one and go with it.
Otherwise, it's like having a PC and a Mac and running parrallel support.
You CAN do it, but it's a pain in the a** to maintain both.

Thanks... I do trade the mostly on the London session so I guess Ill go with that.... Currently I have an account with EFX Group but their charts suck so I am going to open an account with Alpari for the charts plus I might trade it here and there since I love the easy platform.

Good afternoon friends. Could you help me in editing this indicator?
It just remains to determine the number of candles that I want to view. Example: Only 50 candles ... or 100 candles, you know what I mean?

Good morning friends. I would very much like to insert two moving averages in this indicator. I don't handle systems. But I believe it would help a lot of people. Thank you very much in advance.
