Possible divergence on 4hr dow futures. Will not know until 4hr bar is completed. Note how price reacted the last time.

if u place ur stop loss and it come in the middle of a price gap
u think the system can read it and close the auction?

From a fundamentals side, there is a possibility that you could be right. I expect some stabilization in the markets, and especially in the dollar, before too much longer.

However, there is a significant probability that bear sterns was simply the first domino. If so, we are on the brink of the biggest market event ever.

I am hoping that we can get a major crash, wipe all the bad debt off the market, and start rebuilding our financial systems without too much pain. However, I don't see how that is possible. I think we just are going to get a major crash, and then it is all downhill from there.

Not worries about the gap, I have a trailing stop loss which moves up or down when GJ moves. I have set it to 50 pips (tight for GJ) so i won't have to sit and watch the computer all night.

If it get hit before moving down further so be it, like I said can't get to greedy but to be in this business you can't go chasing pips all night and be sleep deprived. That's a sure way to lose money quickly, I won on this trade with over 1,000 pips so I can afford to give up 50 pips if it gets hit. Besides I closed most of my shorts, taking money off the table so I can afford to let the remaining small position float and still be in profit without giving much back. . .

On the Fundemental side. I believe the Bearstern Hype will be over soon and things will get back on track soon for couple of months. We will see much bigger falls like never seen before when the economic crisis hits the British Financial system followed by the European system.

This beast is tanking while I was still away enjoying my weekend. I'm guessing the next few days it might move in a 5 pip range since FOMC meeting is on the 19th. lol. Congrats to all who cashed in on this move.

The Nikkei and the Dow appear to be in a race to the bottom. The Nikkei has put in an impressive 500 point effort to pull ahead of the Dow in the race to zero. It is now at 11,700, well ahead of the Dow's 11,951.

I, however, am confident in the Dow's ability to regain the lead once it is allowed to start racing again in 9.5 hours. Americans are winners, and I am sure that we will be first to reach that magical zero.

Well it's been heading solidly up the past 90 minutes 250+ pips and counting. Anything is possible once London comes in.

Lots of reasons, but the main one that is going to kill them is energy. England had a good 15 year run because oil exports allowed it to run a trade surplus. Oil production peaked around 2000, and they became a net oil importer last year.

If you look at their oil, natural gas, coal and nuclear power issues, add in the same financial problems that the US is having, add in the collapse of the financial industry in general (which brought in huge revenues for London), add in overpopulation, add in less tourism because of a global recession, and you will see that England is in serious, serious trouble.
