For those who come in here looking for the "trading secret of the big boys", here's what you need to do,

go in to the journal section, read Jacko's thread. You don't need to trade his method, but pay attention to "his market wisdom". Then read Trader888's posts. Afterthat, get a general understanding of different asset classes, players, central banks, what moves market. Read some books, macroeconomics, classic trading books. And then, talk to some successful traders instead of lurking on public forums looking for a "proven system".

to understand how banks and hedge fund work, do some research, for starters, go to google and search regulation D. Get yourself wired on what's happening in the world, not crappy commentaries on cnbc.

Its nice to write and says things that don't make sense in what your saying
about news trading, and I have been doing it for a long time it shows that
you don't under stand it but its ok because I KNOW.

Thats were the pivot points come in handy. The pivots act as your instrument panel like if your were a pilot flying. If JFK JR trusted his instrument panels he'd be alive today.

Hi tcmm

How is Stocs used here? Are they possible exits? You say it is just overbought and oversold indicators which is fine but why do you have it in your template? In what manner do you apply this indicator?

p.s. I have made some very successful news trades on demo accounts. I think NFP and Interest announcments are the biggest movers. I would trade the news more if I wasn't working full time and missing most of the releases.

LETS SAY ITS A UPTREND 200EMA UP EMA CROSSED AND MACD'S CROSSED
THEN WHEN YOU LOOK AT STOCH AND ITS BELOW 20 YOU BUY THE DIPS IN A UPTREAD.

AS FOR NEWS TRADING I DO IT FULL TIME. YES IF YOU WORK YOU WILL

Hi!

Just thought I'd share a signal that I saw today. It worked for around 90pips. even this far into the current shorter term trend. I missed the trade because I was doing other things but had I been watching I believe this is what we are looking for. tcmm please let me know if this is wrong and I wil remove it.

The macd signal is hard to see because of the red entry line but it is there.

I did. I set up on the US/JP and still had the GP/JP pivots.

Thank you, I realise this to be true. These things are a matter of preference to the chart veiwer. The first thing I did was check the 200 on daily.
