hey fx,

Unfortunately I can't see the bar that I need to see, but I think when you suggested placing your trade at 1.5335, this was actully 1 pip below the close of the bar instead of 1 pip below the low of the bar which would have been 1.5311.

We always use the lows and highs of the bars for entering our trades.

Hopefully this clears it up for you

Here is my EU chart for tonight. One is with the black background and the other is with the white background otherwise they are both the same.

Even though I did have some long trades placed yesterday, by rule none should have been placed. Sometimes looking at my charts things turn all into a blurr :surprised. I made a few other mistakes yesterday that actully kept me out of some very nice pips.

From what I see today, I have a short trade open from yesterday's Non-Lag Reversal Trade.

Because this trade triggered, we now have the go ahead to start placing DPTT short orders.

I have placed a DPTT Short Pending Order 1 pip below the low of yesterday's bar with a SL at 1 pip + spread above the high of yesterday's bar.

Now, place your trade and go and enjoy your life. Tomorrow you will either have a profit or you won't. One day you will sit down at your computer and you will be up big .

Thanks for all your questions and your support. I will be around for a little while longer, but otherwise I will see you tomorrow.

So I got in too fast.
I noticed that suddenly after resetting all my indicators to the original screen that I use, that the ST dot moved 2 candles to the right.
IF I would have done it according to the rules, I still would have lost this trade, as the market peaked heavily, right?
As I had not yet learned how to place a SL, I am still alive with this trade.
Presently 19 pips in the negative, but still here.

Good training !
It should have been:
H-1.5400
L- 1.5312

Sell Stop order 1.5311 (candle LOW 1.5312 -/- 1 pip)
SL 1.5403 (candle HIGH 1.5400 + spread 2 + 1 pip)

And actually you would have not stopped out because because the market peaked and didn't hit the order until after it cam all the way back down.

thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, you really go above and beyond. this is exactly what ive been looking for.
i do have one question about the nonlag short on e/u
Wouldnt the setup bar be on 3/11 (vert line).
with our entry at 1.5311 and s/l at 1.5403
which means our entry would have been triggered and we would have been stopped out on 3/12.
heres the chart

i didnt enter that trade the open order is from another system.

I just looked at a smaller time frame and realized that the stop would not have been hit so this trade would still be open like you said before.

Freddyfx, I have the same numbers as you have. One question though, since we
have the EES since yesterday, this is a DPTT order?

Some thing else, what kind of broker are you using? Since we might be adding to
winning positions and daily going through the DPTT routine, that must be a broker
that treats every lot independently, otherwise every time you add to a trade the
price averages to a price far away from the EES, losing all the edge, besides I
see some hedging here like in the EUR/USD, are you guys using two accounts?

Thanks very much Damonl !! Now I can also see the colours as they really are. Previously I inverted the all the chart's colours, so I had to re-invert them in my head.

Hey Hensch....I use IBFX myself, but yes you will need a broker that treats lots independantly. Otherwise it would be hard to manage.

Thanks Bull, sometime in the near future I plan to go through this in detail just to make sure that all the rules are right.

I'll let you know of any changes when I find them

One thing for sure with the Pivot Point section.....you need to distinguish which pivots we are using. Some are weekly and others are monthly. The are on my original spreasheet as MP, or WP.

Yes...this is correct, but here in lies the problem when the ST dot will move.

The rules are that the ST dot needs to be present on the close of the bar. My broker's new day starts at 0:00GMT or 7PM CST.

At the time that the new bar formed, the ST dot still had not moved from yesterday and in fact did not do so until about 2 - 3 hours into th enew trading day. So...if you checked your charts then you would maybe have thought that the ST dot had been there on the close.

As a rule of thumb, the ST Dot will not move at the changing of the new bar, it will ususally change sometime during the trading day.

as a result I am still short here and not long, however if you chekced later then you may have saw the dot and went long.
My signal for long for EES 1 would not be until tomorrow.

The more you work with ST dot I think the more you will like it and get familiar with it
