i think more than 1 pair is a bad idea, but on demo iml run 4 pairs
on live just 1

its best to use less risk per pair that way if the market really gets away from us it wont kill the account all in one day
if all 5 pairs are too high levereged then your in truoble
I think it needs to be a happy medium as you mentioned dont get gretty!
I think I will test it on 5 pairs this week and see how it goes....

Yes one pair should be fine
I thought the reason you were testing others was to trade all at the same time but for money managment reasons one pair should be fine with the amount you are willing to loose

Im afraid others will put it on as many pairs as possible to try and get money hungry!

i was testing others to see that the ea can trade them all

the less curve fitting the better

heres something i did a while back, looking at psar 0.003 on a daily chart
using a blue vertical line mark all the buys on psar

with a red mark the sells

now switch through pairs to see where others pairs are relative the the lines

most all the pairs hit psar at same time

so you may have all pairs go against you st the same time

theres still alot of testing to do
like the monthly n weekly fib puts alot of space between trades
but now we have the otions to only use certain fibs

like if you set weekly to 1440

and monthly to 1440

they both became daily

there for you disabled weekly and monthly

since you cant see the m30 psar on m5 in tester

test on m30
disable monthly fib

now test in visual n you can see whats happening

its handling ranges very good

please add a version number to each new version of the EA that you post, i.e trendchaser_super_ea_v1.01.ex4, or beta01a, 01b, etc;

It will be much easier to keep track of and to refer to, both for you and for us with the testing.

Thank you for all your hard work! I am testing the EA out this week on the GY 5mins but want to make sure that I am using the correct inputs.
Do you have a current list of input parameters/values that you are using or should I just leave the default settings in place?

The SL etc are set at 5000; is that correct?

i will post a new version before market open
id also like to share a finding
to realy optimise iml test during a good time instead of a bad time
the reason is we now have a way to predict the draw down
and choosing settings based on survival of the dd
may realy hinder our profits

its so simple
the close together the pivots get to each other, the sooner wel get to the dd
the farther apart they are, the stronger the trend
when the first few pivots start receeding into the others, the trend is weakening

il also work on automating this, but itl take a little time

this system doesnt use a sl
its placed far away
itl take a super broker to hunt it down huh lol

Im not looking for profits, Im very satisified with 10% a month! Anything more and i feel greedy!

Mid July 2007 thru Aug Gbp/jpy suffered a major unwind from 250 range down to 231

I can find no settings so far that can survive this period without the 50% safety Equity SL kicking in.

Running your default settings with a 10k account starting in Jan 2007, I had 7K in profits (about 1K per month on average which is fantastic to me).

But in July, all that was lost and more.

Is there any way to INcrease the safety on this bot to survive these difficult times and still gradually profit?

Im enjoying this thread. I wish you every success. and thank you for sharing your efforts publically.
