The fed fund futures will indicate what the market is looking for in an interest rate cut.Last time I looked it was strongly in favour of 0.5% , but have not been keeping up with it.

So the markets want 0.5%. It is factored into the market as the feds have indicated that this is what they are likely going to drop at the next meeting .

Here is another example on a stock :

A buddy of mine is in MBRK... a drug stock.. The thing has gone shooting up from $1 to 4.5 in days.

The reason for the increase FDA approval on a late phase III trial on one of their drugs. Aslo rumours of a buy out.

He bought at $3 on the pull back .. a good entry
He was still holding at $4.55 and asked my opinion ... and you all know I have my opinion on everything lol ) i told him to take profit. His response was `` but they are going to be bought out`. I said to him do you not thing this is not factored into the price

So in other words the news was built into the price already.

Since then it dropped to 3.8 (from 4.55) . Of course once again he did not listen although still got 80 cents profit (I think it was $2500) he gave away the other 75 cents ( almost another 2300). He only earns $50,000 per year so $2500 is a lot of money for him.

Another lesson to be learnt from this story is DO NOT BE GREEDY
Okay, but I've seen times before rate cuts being priced in and how the markets reacted, I didn't see it this time but we'll see what happens when the Feds meet. Thanks

From my reading the momentums shahroodi posted indicate bullish movement up to 206.40 area or so, but with such news coming up it can do anything to the market.

if NFP realese worth than expected, i think price cannot go much more lower than area we have now or lower than 203.46(this week low)...becoz news was priced in with today downward movement.

what do you think???

As per my postings I am a day trader . I do not really care where it goes as all I need is volatility to take pips out of the market. Do I lose .. of course all the time , but I manage that risk (that is the most important aspect of trading )

However being able to trade 5 min charts I can trade 4 hour charts:

I guess you do not know how to trade bear flags .. likely have never even heard of them.

I put it in nice bold letters for you on the chart below with a nice BIG arrow so you can see it.

The best we are going to do is retest the flag.

Also what part of close to 52 week lows on NASDAQ , S&P and DJ-30 do you not understand.

Instead of slandering others analysis .. consider it. It will make you a better trader. The other week on here a trader posted dj to 13000 .. I disagreed. Then I went away and relooked at the charts and changed my mind. Thanks to them I made a load of money on YM that week.

Also make some posting for trades before they happen.....now that I would like to see.

Congrats for being the first person on my ignore list. I cannot suffer fools.

Again statistical information that normally plays out very very well - at least it gives a direction...

Weekly average range: 630 pips

This weeks current range: about 420 pips

==> missing about 200 pips.

Either we go up to 209,7 what would be the boarder of a very important fib of the last big down move. (400 pips from here !)

Or we go down to 201.5 being the fib target for the last smaller down-move. (500 pips from here !)

Normaly price direction only changes once per week... from the beginning of the week we were going up - till highest point of 3-interest-day. Now we changed direction and are goinng down... now directly below the LOW of last week... should provide resisteance for up move. On daily level we also are now directly below the LOW of the last day... also imporant resistance for going up... on daily we have a inner bar yesterday... normally reversal bar - in this case for bearish movement.

I think propabilities aren't bad... I will enter short... pls don't follow me !

no comments, iam sure u are good trader good dailytrader, i just dont like some post when ppl do, we ll go up or down nobody doent know for sure this and cant be sure 100% on this board
