First time in my life I was 100% correct about anything. Wouldn't we want to wait for AO to close with a red histo bar, reversal confirmation, and then place the sell stop on the candles that caused the AO to close with red histo bar?

You could wait, but if you did, I would be placing my second trade short at that time because I am already short here. I am willing to risk the pips for the early entry. The rewards will be much greater than your losses in the long run.

So what you saying basically is that it is at the traders discretion as to whehter an entry is place before or after AO confirmation. I guess what I am getting at is that I was attempting to look at this as a rule and not a discretionary decision.

Right, but based on your rules posted here we should wait for a reversal confirmation before placing a sell stop? Maybe I am getting ahead of myself and wait for more teachings instead of assuming.

I don't see any discretion at all. I always make the trade. Remember that the early trade, if triggered, you will be conveniently hedged. If it doesn't trigger you will still be on your way. If it triggers and stops out you will still be on your way with the rest of your trades.

You have to keep in mind regarding GU, that I have already 5 long positions, so if I would have lost one because of an early entry, my remaining 5 would still be growing.

You might be right....So far I haven't offered any entry points to date. Only exit points. But...you now have two

Did you say that you use a spreadsheet to manage the orders for the trades?...that could prove useful for this method. I have been attempting to demo this method...without vey much success I might add. I think I am holding on to the trades too long and the trend continuation is killing me.

Very interesting technique, eagerly awaiting further elements of system.

Damonl, do you place only one pending order per currency per day or more in same direction? In same or variable/increrasing lot sizes?

Hey earret....

I believe it is not uncommon to start out with this systme and take some loses. You will also make some wins. However, I believe that you will fnid that you will make more pips once you are implementing the whole program.

Thanks.....

At this point I am not experimenting with increased lot sizes, but that is my goal as things fall better into place for me. I also do open up to three trades per day per pair if I get the right signals. Remember however that I keep my lot sizes small.

Managing your "Open" and "Pending" positions is one of the most important aspects of this trading strategy.

I have put together a spreadsheet that really makes this job easy, although I do need to update my postions each evening.

You may look at this spreadsheet and not really know how to use. That is okay.

Basically these are a list of the types of trades that I will make when trading. Since I can no longer edit the 1st page I guess I will have to just go into each trade as they happen.

Anyway, please ask any questions you would like about the spreadsheet, but it will be better if you just follow along as I make some trades. Next week I am hoping to be able to upload a chart everynight and go through it with you.
