Pivots vs Fibonaccis

Which one is more reliable and strong indicator of resistance/support ?

I think that stronger are fibo levels, but if you want be sure u should check it yourselves.

Use both, but IMO fibs > pivots

FMLE (from my limited experience), fibs seem to come up more often than pivots... but the daily pivot can be insanely strong. I think it depends on the pair, check to see which is being obeyed more. If you can find confluence between the 2, areas where they both line up, that seems to be the most reliable.

Pivots are all based off of time frames and then starts the argument "which time frame to use? GMT or EST?
Fibos are all time frames and more reliable IMO. The daily GMT pivot during the London session can hold some weight but I never really use pivots. It depends on your style of trading.

Confluence of pivots and fibs always provides more support/resistance than just either one(i.e when a pivot and fib overlap). But personally I only use the 50% level which is not even a fib level over the previous day, previous week and previous month to find the strongest points on the chart, along with their highs and lows.

Fibs rule. I don't use pivots in my trading.

Try both, and use whichever fits your trading style.

I highly advise new traders to become proficient in Fibonacci analysis.
