So far, several people have been banned from metaquotes forum for asking about Virtual Dealer Plug-in. First time I've seen anybody banned from a forum for asking a legitimate question. Looks like Metaquotes is acting in fear.

It seems that the brokers also have (plug- in's) in the form of people defending them here , in this forum.There is too much money being made not have a few well placed people defending them.

It seems to me that the fancy free charting , is what gets people to use these brokers engaged in these practices . People , you can pay for charting ...$40.00 plus dollars a month,, very cheep , concidering the money you are flushing down the toilet , using these brokers that are manipulating your feed.

why pay when you can get the mt-4 charts for free with demo.

I guess you mean just use them for charting, not trading. My guess is most people use them for both .

That's exactly what he means. MT4 demo feeds are "clean" (the brokers are trying to sell their services so they'll keep their best foot forward via the demos). Place your trades with a good ECN while using a free MT4 demo for charting.

I trade using MT4 since I like the Expert Advisor facility only available as far as I know on a MultiQuotes platform. But I've always know that ALL broker-dealers are crooks. I had used four US brokers, pulling out of each one by one as I caught them playing tricks. Now my broker is in Switzerland, but not sure that exempts them from tricks, but somehow I think it might.

Of course I know what an ECN is, but have never checked any of these out. Are they any recomemdations for any of them? Do any of these use the MT4 platform (I doubt it but . . .). I really don't want to trade futures.

I understand FXCM has now decided to also use the MT4 platform. And if you think the MT4 platform is programmed against you, just think what must be going on in private platforms written with only that in mind.

My advice....use MT4 for charting only and find an ECN broker. MBT comes to mind. OandA is also favorable (not ECN though). Their java platform, well it's java and I can't stand it. It's appealing to the eye, but that's about it.

it's not about proving or disproving, it's about being honest on what you are doing; I think Pipstar is right, when you stated you "maxed" ibfx for $10^7, you shoudn't be ashamed to post a statement backing it (deleting of course the privacy stuff).

MT4 is a platform, class in itself. I doubt if there is any other software available in the market capable of doing so many things, so flexible one with so less resource requirements. It's extremely sad and regrettable that even this piece of software is having a plug-in like this just to aid the broker/IB community which is definitely a malpractice and sueable on metaquotes under the law of any country. Banning someone from their forum does not justify anything except their weakness. It's a very unfortunate scenario. If it's within the purview of NFA/CFTC/CFC/other regulatory, I guess they have the authority to get in to the nuts and bolts of this software and crack, impose penalties or even disban the platform and/or their business altogether. An organized effort in the trading community is necessary to stop this kind of things.

50+ pips or higher is something that the counter position trading by dealing desks may not work actually but scalping is also an acceptable form of trading. Some of us are having a mindset like that. Can the brokers actually put a condition like that? In a regulated stock market, can any broker not permit scalping? I guess we must give some thought how to find a solution without bashing our brokers. To survive, they need us and we also need them but that does not mean that their greed will take us for a ride.

I am just thinking if it's possible for NFA/CFTC to form an international network of regulatory authorities across the globe (at least the major financial centers) to overlook the things as the forex market is of extremely global nature.

I'm rather agnostic on this issue, but how does everyone know that this image isn't photo-shopped by metaquote's competition? And how does anyone know if meta-quotes is simply keeping this off of their forums because it's simply a false attack on their business? I'm not saying that this virtual-dealer thingy is fake, but you have to be somewhat cautious about what you see, hear or read about on the internet....especially when it comes to the Forex.
