Sorry folks, seen the trades and entered without posting my 4 entry levels, I will just base it at 158.20 on all 4 trades.

Evening Ken,

Here is a trade from last night that went my way.

I purchased at @ 155.11 with a 35 pip SL and a 70 TP
I had posted my 24 hour prediction and the 30 minute chart I expected to see, but the Median price at 154.54 was not even reached during this past session.

Price came down within 29 pips of the median, I had expected it to drop below this level then find support at 154.54 on the way back up to test the High at 157.13 and 157.83.

The price has now moved upwards and breached the high of 157.13 and has found a new high at 158.35.

I expect price to dip to test this 157.80/90 area, and have place my shorts for this target move.

I will try better today to keep 1 entry in for a longer period if there is sign of a drop below the 157.99 area.
Closed 1 SHORT Entry for +12 pips.

Hello ! Wow what a day with EY. I didnt expect it to go up this much from last night and yet looking back at my MA's on the daily they did cross up sometime yesterday. I many a time dont trade what I see. Today again I was thinking my gezillion indicators tell me the trend and its normally 'right' then I go and think no that does not look right and I keep looking for shorts when the indicators is saying : go long dummie.

What do you guys see for the next hour or so? I see you are short M I think its a wise move, we went up all day almost time for a bit of a retrace

I took 3 lots of the table with my shorts, and will leave one in for the test of the last high at 157.78, which will be only a 42 pip gain, we may see a test of todays high coming though at 158.35.

I also want to correct something I told you a couple of days ago, I said I do not use indicators, but I do use Moving averages on most of my time frames to give me a quick look at price.

Took a Short here at 158.10 resistance area.

Will pull it off quickly though, maybe 6-10 pips if it goes to test the last low at 157.94
Nice Monarch ! Will you please share which MA's works for you. I use 2 of them also and they have been good to me.
Exit Short for +9 pips.
I have remained open on that 1 entry for short, the price did bounce upwards fast to test the high around 158.35/38 area, and I kept my short in so far.

I am only depending on the High resistance here holding price down, there is 14 minutes till the top of the hour and strength upwards is strong to me, I am really considering the exit if we get a spike above this 158.37, and count it as a loss.

I do not like holding trades that go past strong supp/res lines, and the pressure here upwards is holding strong.

I was up 20 pips at one time on this trade, but kept it in for a longer period of possible 40-50 pips, so this is experimental and will help me in the future in deciding to take quick exits rather then holding on for longer terms.

So you took a Long at the 38.2, nice.

Do you also consider the Stoch and the EMA's you have on your charts?

A general rule, I do not attempt the larger 50-100 pips per trade against the 1 Hr trend. It just rarely seems to work out for me calling tops/bottoms against the trend.

Every once in a while, their will be some particular price action such a very large pinbar against a major monthly/weekly fib or trendline that is moving opposite of the trend that could be taken for quite a few pips, but unless this is the case I normally try for smaller pip count on retraces.
Just wondering what trades everyone had open on the EJ?

I have not given up here, thinking the drop should come sooner then later here.

On the Daily/4 hour chart there is strong resistance at 158.47 area, maybe will get one more spike up to test this area, then a drop down.

Been a pretty big day already on EJ, with over 356 pips, that may keep the Bulls from jumping in knowing a retrace is getting near.

Just my opinion, will watch resistance at 158.47.

Yes, although Stoch not so much. Mostly, I use MA's, S/R's, Fibs and Price Action in a muddled combination to make trades.

On this particular trade you had the 38.2 Fib line, a slew of MA's, EU was going up, 155.00 and the Intra day Pivot Point. I figured that was enough confluence to enter into a trade.

I used a 1:2 R:R and jumped in and I was glad I did.

On this move up today, will you wait for the move down a bit before entering a long?
I will have a new 4HR here in 35 minutes, I will watch the formation at that time and will decide if this move up is going to stall and retrace some.

For now, I see a continuation upwards, but in 30 minutes price may dip 20 pips or so and give a different view of this 4hr candle.

I will watch for now, even though I have a 1/2 entry (short) trade in right now, did not post it because it is only in for -10 or +10.

Examining the 1min chart on a something I am working on, so I didn't want to add it to the log of trades, but will add it to the win/loss later.

Yes..

I am looking for an entry around the zone of 1.4715-1.4700. At the moment price action is consolidating, and hopefully it will drop 40-60 pips before it's move back up.

When trading E/J I look at U/J and E/U to get a feel for what "might happen". For example, last night E/U was in an uptrend and in my opinion looking to break out which it did.

While U/J was still in a downtrend, at least on hourly chart, but had 2 strong bounces from the 106.00 area. So basically, the combination of the technical confluence and the belief that both E/U and U/J were moving up guided my decision to buy at that level.
