morning all the first signal that came my way was the gbpjpy at close of 900 gmt candle i put it on and went back to bed just got up a saw it won and it seems you guys made some money with that one and the other which really makes me glad you are starting to understand the deal. regarding using the stoch on daily chart to filter a signal the reason i removed it after all this time is i was looking at chart and you can see a trend even if you dont have indicators on a chart. i saw the rsi which reads strength of pair is below 50 while the emas are crossed but stoch is cycling up and down and staying oversold so i asked myself what does a stoch do and it measures where price is closing so stoch can stay overbought or oversold for quite awhile as we see yet price keeps going down and since i am using it as a cycle to enter trades and i dont enter trades on daily but hourly charts i found there is no purpose to use it on daily but hourly it does make sense because we want to know where price is and they work good and are more responsive on hourly charts. if you want to use them be my guest you will find yourself not having signals as often just my opinion

ihere is a chart of my gbpjpy trade you will see the rsi and stoch turn down and then up and then down to signal a trade at 900 closed candle now based on daily you wouldnt have a gbpjpy this year because stoch have been oversold for that long thats almost a whole month of no trades with this pair

what do you mean logical buy button? seems all you need these days is the sell button todays market looks like an avalanche doesnt it

Harald, what about the signals at 6.00GMT candle end.

Did you think they were not good?

I took gbpchf for -24, audjpy for -15 and gbpjpy for +3

remember as part of discretion that if price has moved a great deal stay away till the stocs recycle well the signal on gbpchf happened at 200 gmt and price came down 140 and stochs were turning up not recycling same thing for audjpy and gbpjpy price came down 130 to 160 pips

well today if you didnt make any money theres something terribly wrong. you could have used any method today wouldnt have mattered the gbpjpy dropped 600 pips if you cant get 30-50 out of that then one should just try something else because trading is not for them i dont even have to wait till tonight the signals will all be the same tomorrow short everything one thing we should never do as traders and that is try and predict where price is going to go just respond to where it is going only god knows the future so dont go playing god in trading

I have been using this method for about 1 month now. I have made 26 trades....11 losers...15 winners. That is about 58% winning, so it falls in-line closely with 60%. I am still learning the market, so I expect to get better.

Today, I did go back and check my losing trades to see if I saw patterns. I have found that on every losing trade, if I would have had about a 100 pip SL, then the trade would have been profitable later that day. Only one trade came close to hitting the 100 pip SL, and it moved against me only 94 pips. Certainly, if those 11 losing trades would have turned back into winners, the results would have been outstanding.

Not really interested in changing the system because I know Harold has a lot more experience than one month. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this? Perhaps because we have been trending so strongly in January? I guess in a consolidation period, I might would have plenty of 100 pip losers. It just seems that since we only take a trade when the daily and hourly are with us, we have a strong chance of winning without such a tight SL.

26 trades seems a lot to me i would have to see them and check them out if they were good signals or not but still 58% and still learning is not bad at all just be patient put on the good trades use a little common sense like today on those signals at 600gmt that were not good because price came down 140+ pips from a 300gmt signal those you stay away from and let market recycle ( or wave) in the direction of the trend again which it did at 900gmt and 1000 gmt

Hi Harold,

If we find a entry signal on daily close candle, in the next trading session,
if we have a first entry signal, then we take it. After we exit the trade then it goes in the other direction. After some time, again if we see the same entry signal, can we take it ?.

Hi Harold. I was wondering how you are able to get alerts when there is a signal. is there an EA that you use? if so, has it been posted anywhere in the thread? i really like the system and want to try it out but the best signals would probably come while i am sleeping and i would need a way to get alerted.
