you are a good group if we have a few of us finding the same thing well then its a go by the way that gbpjpy trade would have been good for 50 when i did the backtests i used the candle like i always do that gave the signal on the 1hr as my stoploss in other words the high of that candle for shorts or the low of that candle for longs now if candle is less than 30 then i make it 30 if candle is to large like more than 60 on gbpjpy or 40 on the rest i use 30 and 50 this week if i pu on trades with all the pairs total including today would be 350 now let me say this if you are in a trade lets say its gbpjpy and you are up 40 pips please dont let that turn into a loss there was a trade that was +49 and it turned into a -50 on my backtest i would never let that happen if i am in front of computer so if need be if you are up 40 make sure you get at least 25 if you are up 20 on the others make sure you can break even at best or +5 at least its something if you come to the desk and price has dropped a ton of pips 150-200 and a signal happens stay away if the stoc is obos on hour chart when you get a signal stay away the stoc on hour moves a lot faster than daily thats about it on discretion

Hey Itguy or other techguys,

In order to dig into harolds suggestion about not using the 8,3,3, stochs on the daily timeframe, can somebody delete this function in this indicator? (Only on the daily, not hourly). Please correct it in the "open source indicator".

I tried to set it to "0" but it went all beserk!

Thanks for the method guys, I trade multi timeframe trends but on a smaller scale. I like this method as it reduces some of my screen time.

I took the liberty of turning trendchaser's EA into an indicator that may or may not be useful to you all. It prints the status of all of the pairs daily and hourly trends onto the chart irregardless of what pair's chart you have it on.


It prints out the six pairs I think everyone is trading using this method, you can add more by modding lines 68 and 70 of the mq4 file.

anyone still in eur/cad long from earlier today?

i'm tempted to bail out at -26, but seems to be rallying, and longer time frame suggests price has come from a good area of support at 1.5000

that gbpjpy trade you lost 50 on if that was the 900 gmt why would you enter on that signal where price came down from 3 bars 200 pips thats the discretion i am talking about if a pair move 200 -250 and it alreay moves 200 to me there is no room to make anything and i would stay out till i get a better deal bu the way the eurjpy had a 30 pip win also from the 1500 gmt candle i wouldnt put trades on at 15 i would end there but that would be up to the individual

yes, the gby/jpy short was off the 0900 candle. That candle was the one that contained bad retail sales for gbp, hence the large drop in the direction of the main trend.
I did not enter at the close of the 0900,(as per rules of the system) but at the retrace to the emas......yes risk and not per rules.
In theory i was right, the trend did resume, (and hit my prediction of 209.00) but that means nothing when you get stopped out before it gets there!

I had a great adventure with eurjpy today ... I entered early then I got that terrible retracement against me ... but did not bail out. At the end I got a small profit before I had to close my computer and run out.
Result for this week + 39 pips (only 3 days of trading). Next week will have more time...
I wish to everybody a wonderful week end and a special thanks to Harold who keep helping us.

been running you method on vhands strat tester....seems v effective ..couple of losers here and there ..no firm nos just running for my own benefit .

to give you an idea just quickly cos i hate typing...i took a hypothetical 10k acc to 17k very easily using 2 lots ,50 tp, 50 sl since dec28 i.e last 5x8 on dailygbpjpy.

what this method requires it seems is faith from its operators ,that the probabilities are on there side.

so from that point of view the best way forward for me would be to set and forget...i'm always interfering in my good trades?
