that doesnt look like a pinbar to me....the current bar could close as a pinbar (a pretty crappy one) if it stays around the current level
Ignored
Agreed, the nose is not exactly protruding out. Tomorrow's close could be another Pinbar countering the Highlighted one and the downtrend could continue although this is just an assumption. Price will show the way by tomorrow's close.

Ok, I am away from my trading computer as I am at my sisters house so I cant post charts BUT I am looking for price to reach around 210.50 and then look to sell again into the downtrend. This is the 5 sma retracement which would entail a retracement on the lower timeframes. With that, I would look to see a downmove happening throughout the night. Best of luck to everyone.
I dream, therefore I become.

I don't normally post this stuff and usually take it with a grain of salt but I do respect Liens analysis.

Written by Kathy Lien, Chief Strategist
Stocks fell 300 points today, taking carry trades down with it.
In fact, it would be surprise if the Japanese Yen crosses did not collapse. Growing evidence of problems in the US economy has spurred a massive exodus out of stocks on the fear that earnings will only worsen. Risk aversion is on the rise and the only thing that can stop it is either a big stimulus package from the Bush Administration or an intermeeting rate cut from the Federal Reserve. Japanese economic data at this point has little consequence.

Wow, I love it how the "unknowns" say this stuff MONTHS before it happens and then the "Pros" say it after it's happened and take credit for a good job. lol How about Markam, here on forex factory, who has been saying this would come about for the better part of a year? My hat, if I wore hats, goes off to him.

On another note, there was a lot more to talk about when I was still active on the lower timeframes. At the moment, nothing's changed and 212 held so I am still looking for more downside.
I dream, therefore I become.

Hi team, what are everyones thoughts at the moment? There's not enough evidence for me to go short although that is my bias.I think it has some strength to it after the mauling the dow got. Imagine if there was a whiff of hope?

Friday arvo in NZ, AUS and Asia and the markets are picking up! What happened to "profit taking"? The sentiment is different to what I would have picked. I'm out of my n/u and n/j for negligible pips.

Look at the compression occuring between short term traders
(ema's 3 - 15) and long term investors (ema's 30 - 60).
Both groups are coming together in agreement on price in the 1hr chart.
This is usually followed by volatility and more rapid separation between
these groups and a breakout in one direction or the other. Like a spring
coiling and then spinning loose.

To paraphrase; what you're saying is the G/J doesn't know whether it's Arthur or Martha?
