DislikedQQEA with a SF of 1 may work for you but every forward test I have run shows small overall losses with that setting. I am currently using 4,10,4.05 and have 9 open trades, all well in profit.
I guess time will tell in the long run. So far, beta3 is the third best EA I have been testing. I am live with the other two but I think Supernova has even more potential.Ignored
DislikedHi guys,
I have a question...I think I have ALL of the EA's but I can not find one that allows an Entry on both QQE and QQEA ( when both are in agreement) ...
I want to test: ENTRY when QQE + QQEA ( 4,10,4.05) + Mom are all 3 in agreement (TP30 + maybe manual exit ) so do you remember to have an EA that allows that?
Thank you a lot! You guys are all so great!

DislikedHi Orion, Matt, and all Supernovae,
After we are out of this beta phase and feel we have all the tuning parameters and have discovered optimal settings, the next phase of development will be money management, especially for the longer time frames. I am a firm believer that money management is crucial both for improving profitability and reducing drawdown in either discretionary or automated trading. All input on this subject will be welcome.

DislikedGNAT...you are UNBEILEVABLE! WHAT A MEMORY! Ya I'm the "birdie" and I'm a "MRS"...gee! You impress me! ...P.S. I always liked you but now I'm really impressed :-)
Ok...well...I did already add both ( QQE and QQEA) on my chart ( as you can see...) I have the sound so I can act "manually" ...I got good pips today manually but I can not be all the time here by computer...I have to cook, clean, sleep.... etc...so I thought we maybe had already an EA that will alow me to entry on both...well I guess I just have to do the "hard work"...I preffer manual trading anyway :-)
P.S. I do not have any "fancy" logic to the set up...just eye-balling" the chart I can see that that setting gives +30 most of the times ( with some fakes of course but quite fewer then the good ones) the SL I plan to put it right under the entry candle so most of the time that is around 30 pips ( depends how long that candle is though :-)...
Anyhow, my eyes are "hurting" after eye-balling to long , so I though I may have a short cut to my test...so I guess, we do not have any EA with both for an entry?
OK...sorry for "talking" so much ...
see you around :-)

DislikedI've been reading the recent posts about 1.4 v 1.7 and I'm also running both of these on demo accounts right now. I'm risking 3% v 2% per version on each trade, and both have been profitable and both have slightly different settings.
1.4 has just QQE for entry/exit. This has witnessed big profitable moves, then sometimes given the whole lot and more back before the exit appeared.
1.7 has had more modest gains (partly because of the 1% less risk) because of the DMI entry criteria as well, but has made a steady 7% this morning - now 4.8% when I switched screens to check.
Separately, I'm seeing entries that fit the entry/exit criteria more accurately on 1.7, and some 1.4 entries don't even occur when the criteria is met. I don't know why and while it bothers me, it's old code and things have moved on.
So suggestion. Best to focus on 1.7 only since this contains fixes and more function. Different settings will likely improve profit potential for each currency as people have said, and we need to focus on these. I also think that since the built-in back testing is inaccurate, a more tedious visual check is necessary as you scroll back through charts. What this does offer is the opportunity to observe and perhaps identify and tweak settings that you wouldn't otherwise see - that's where I've found my tweaks so far.
We will all wander in our own little worlds, duplicating effort and sometimes finding or missing what is in front of our eyes. Anyone up for a small working group to define some specific currencies/timeframes to look at carefully and report on observations? I don't mind continuing asis - just think that this would offer more focus and benefit - and I do personally need focus with all this noise out there.Ignored
DislikedHi Gnat
Thanks for the positive response and look forward to talking further.
Today has been a bit more than the typical roller coaster ride of last few days (of 2-3% per trade). 1.7 account was up 8% and has now given all of that back. 1.4 account has given up 21% today. QQE filter alone meant a few bad trades got entered into.
Rick, have attached a chart. See the red vertical line where the long trade was closed. Exit criteria is QQE AND DMI. As you see, DMI had not crossed over, yet trade was closed. No trailing stops or anything else set for exit. Have I misunderstood things or is this a legitimate or, illegitimate, exit?
Thanks folks. Keep up the grand work!Ignored
DislikedHi FxTradera,
I would be happy to look. Could you please post your entire set file, though? It will be a lot easier if I can see all of the settings.

DislikedHey Rick!
Just popped in once more and saw FXT's question: From my understanding the trade is being closed as ONE criteria is met. Or am I on the wrong train (of thought) there?
G'night!

DislikedHi fxTradera,
Please see the above posts from Gnat and myself. I was on a PocketPc and couldn't see the graph well enough to comment, but it looks like the exit was fine since one of the exit criteria was met.
Thanks for sending the set file, though. That makes it easier for everyone to analyze you settings and make suggestions.
Thanks for the input as to the performance of the EA, as well. It would be great to know which pairs were being traded and whether or not the losing trades were in the dead zone when the volatility is low.

DislikedLOL! hey Pepper-spray! (you will have to get used to Flyman changing your name - it happens to all of us hehe)
Finally caught up with you here. Good luck with the EA - I have no words of wisdom there. Gnat and the others are the best bet for that. Talk to you later this week on the yahoo or something when you have a chance.
Good trading my friend!
