Weve done the online stuff and you always run into the connection issues, sound issues and its always a limited number that can actually get anything from it.

2.) I'm working in Florida during the week so I wont have to spend 17 hours at the airport stay for 12 then head right back to the airport and fly out this time, LOL

LOL, youll have better luck this time.
The overalls are easy.
I think this would definitely be worthwhile.

Hey Bruce, I think so as well. There is soooooo much to gain from meeting people in person. The webinars should be left to those afraid to show their pretty face....IMO. Besides, we all need to an excuse to get away

If this makes sense (becomes a reality) I hope you make it.

I didnt read all the way throught the thread so I don't know if this has been suggested yet but how about a series of webinars. There are several companies that offer that service. Another thought would be the use of hotcomm, it seems to be popular in the trading community for online seminars.

Colorado Springs would be my suggested venue city only because it's centrally located.

I can tell you, even if you didn't learn anything, the entertainment value for attendees would be worth their costs. I will try to be there. Would be good to catch up again...tell some more "true stories"!!
My wife (a visiting prof at a local Univ) has just received a grant to develop online classes (aka distance learning) for her Biology Dept. I've provided some tech help for her (Such as avoiding horrible web-conferencing companies...I digress) and thought perhaps I might take a stab at developing the structure to present this comprehensive body of material in a way that enhanced the learning curve for all of us.
One of the things that we have learned is that different people learn differently, for example videos are best for some, notes for others, and audio (podcasts) are best for others. You get the idea. The modules would be built to address each learning style.
Let me know if this idea might have any traction. It would be a long term project to finish, but some folks may benefit from each module as it were developed.

ps. Since I'm no longer a broker, I have a reasonable expectancy of actually finishing something I start.
