This is odd... there is no crystal ball indicator, is there? Looking at your chart there is no explanation why it should have gone long there.

Pipsqueaker: I do not trust my set-file. I think it was mostly random luck, that I had good exits on the thirty min. window. I would love for this thing to enter and exit well on the fifteen min. window, my favorite. Laguerre was added to perhaps manage shorter time frames, but I have no experience with it, and it will be good for all of us to look to someone who has traded Imran's scalping system for Guppy, for guidance. In the meantime, I plan to focus on the EA without it. It may well be that CCI will give us the exits I want, either by adjusting the period and/or the threshold. Eyeballing it suggests that period 14 and threshold 116 or thereabouts will do the trick. I am planning to use it for entries also, as a filter to ignore weak movements. Generally, the CCI will give a nice entry bounce on a significantly strong movement. It may well be that using QQEA alone will be all we need, and the rest is fluff. The better traders, like Matt, will probably find the key to success first. Rick is really showing his skill for coding. {I suspect his daughter is telling him how to code it, so that she can drive the car.}

Hmmm. I will check the magic numbers. The code has some really strange handling of magic number tests. Now that the OrderTotals routine is fixed, I suspect it is showing other bugs. I will look at this immediately.

Hi All,

Matt, I think I solved the Magic Number issue, but I couldn't really test with so little volatility at night.

I think we need to focus on accurate entries and exits, then add the money management in. I have found a few issues in the code that when fixed should greatly improve the entries.

just thought id minchine that i noticed on ur chart your only using qqe for entry

qqe looks to the close of the bar
it might be posible that qqe crossed then recrossed before the bar closed
resulting in that long trade

thats why i made a qqeaopen for mty ea

im reading the thread backwards lol

hey rick
i had this problem to
if i set ea to trade on open price im lagging on the entry the cross plus a bar
so thatys 2 bars
but i made qqe look at open and it unlagged me 1 bar
it means i use tick instead of open but lag qqe
this got me a bar closer

I have just found a bug in the entries. After an exit, the next entry is always delayed by 1 full bar from the QQE cross. This means that the cross bar is not ever considered no matter which indicators are used, which could mean a delayed entry, usually with a worse fill. This will take a bit as the logic is a bit convoluted, but I will fix this next.

iv been messing with my supernova ea the past few days
i do get bad signals sometimes
i see theres no way to automate this 100%
but im making good profit

but i did find a edge

set the ea to ask for confirmation
when ea wants to trade
look at the chart zoomed all the way out

add your wizdom to the trade
confirm it or pass it up

iv been winning good since i started this
i turn the ea off when i sleep, i just run ea while im here
it keeps me from missing the trade or having to stare at the monitor

im also running my ea on demo to with alerts on, for extra alert

if you see that were in a narrow range pass up the signal

basically im trading 1 pair and using ea as a advisor or alerter

if it dont look good then i pass it up

i zoom out n look at the range for my initial stop
also after im in a trade, i manualy set my stop with the heiken ashi candles
one or 2 candles depending on the move
mostly 1 candle
and i update it every candle



im using qqea 5-14-4.236

gbp-jpy m15

dmi 10

mom 10

t3 8- 0.7

heiken ashi

daily pivot

100 sma

and my own anaylsis

but if you zoom out youl see the channel were in
i will not take the trade unless we break it

um that wasnt very clear huh

what i meant is i took the short trade, but price turned n im out at 10 pip profit, now if i get another sell il take it
but if i get a buy il pass it up unless weve broken the channel

and if i get another sell itl have a tight stop, just above the breakout zone

is anyone else having problems with the EA not closing?? I thought i read someone said that there was a delay but mine's not closing at all...

any idea?

another thing to piont out

dmi and momentum look at the close, there signals can chenge on the same bar

in the pic below youl see that all is red

but my ea dont give a signal untill the bar closes

i dont know anything about that ea
but on my ea thread there is a ea called psar close

it uses psar, it closes any trade regardless of magic number

and it retries every tick tegardless of requotes

might be a good tool for u manual traders
but you ppl looking to use ea automated
dont set one to conflict with the other
you may see trade open n close a bunch

if price breaks the gann line( full candle forms outside the line)

il trade it using supernova as confirmation
