I wish I had more to report on the testing issue but I am pretty even overall (-2 pips).

Exits do seem to be a little late as others have noticed.

Funny thing, of all the EA's I am testing, the simplest is the most profitable so far. Another vote for KISS, I guess

Hello gang... I have been testing the new version on 10 pairs on the 5M. But I have been using MTP v1.5 with 20 pip targets move stop ect ect. I am pretty much the same as all close to a break even. I did have the MTP close out a few good trades and not sure why yet. I am researching expert and journal.

I am going to switch to 15m tonight and see if it gets better.

Anyways hope all is well and will get some more feed back later.

Ya man no hard feelings. My point is that all the trades I posted here were live and were the exact charts I used to make them. I even did a live trade call step by step on the thread here at one point so you can follow that through if you want.

I simply do not have the time to give a running commentary on all my trades. I have other things to do as well and Gnat was right - I am busy on other forex projects as well as having a family and multiple other daily obligations.

I think the info found here already in the thread should be sufficient.

I am glad we have that straight. But I read the posting of people challenging your trades and implementation of the system, and can totally understand why you posted the comment.

I am right now in the process of reading (or should I say sifting) thru the immense data in this thread. Whilst all posts in the threads are not relevant to the SuperNova system I am pretty certain I will get the hang of it. Although playing with real funds is always better, a demo lets you learn the hoops.

Anyway I’m off again to read the thread.

Best regards,
Randy.

The laguerre was hampering my trades on 30M. I took it off the Ea at 430GMT and I'm in two solid trades now at 530GMT

Skyline/Myers EA is working SUPER on the 30 min. window. Euro/JPY; GBP/JPY; GBP/USD.
I was, no doubt, overloading my puny computer with too many pairs, not allowing it to process properly.
Entry on everything except Vol/Juice/Laguerre
Exit on everything except Vol/Juice.
CCI threshold 116; Laguerre 6.9
Go, Rick, Go. Something in that Boston water, methinks.

Glenn...

Are you saying the gamma settings for the Lags are 0.6 and 0.9 ?

Orion:

No, I was fiddling around trying to optimize the apex/nadir of the moves, and 6.9 on the Exit looks good: sweet exit on the pound/dollar. 6.0 on the entry.
I am new to Laguerre, so this is not gospel. Fx_Ninja suggested 7 to 8 on Exit.
Monster profits tonight, but one night does not a cake make.
I am very encouraged, however. There are so many indicators in this EA that
it takes some horsepower to function. I will likely move it to a VPN which I am using for Bluto EA's. There is not enough RAM to run ten pairs on this computer. If this EA will continue as it did tonight, I will order the Lear Jet.

The GBP/CHF is a great pair to trade too. In fact it moves as much as the JPY. Sometimes you can see the both of them move in opposite directions. They both have extraordinary APM (Average Pip Movement).

Has anyone traded it here successfully, I have traded it successfully, and I really like it, although I have traded it in the direction of the trend. It does produce excellent moves in the opposite directions too.

Please post it here and the relative success you had with the other pair, means success in relation of JPY to CHF.

Best regards,
Randy.

After going thru the initial posts I have the following observations to make of the “Super Nova” (from the posts of course):
1. Best time to trade is M15.
2. Trading is ok in any direction (please someone clarify that).
3. The CCI, DMI-14, T-3 are the core indicators of this system. Momentum is also there but not in the initial posts.
4. The best setups are from 2AM-6AM Eastern (7AM-11AM GMT), although 100+ moves keep on occurring in the market outside of those bounds (I don’t even know why I wrote this).
5. It is also possible to enter on the M5 using M15 as the reference. I did not find what to look on the M15 to enter on the M5? Please explain in detail if possible.
6. The usual stop loss recommendation is above the T3 line.
7. It is best to enter a trade with the T3 above the HA candle, when going short. or below when going long.
Best regards,
Randy.

Hallo Wolfe!

Did you try to change the LaG settings to the one that were given by FX_Ninja? My first trades today, maybe a conincident, were better in entry (slightly) and in exit (green pips).

Tach Pipsquek!
Good results for sure here. And maybe the safest way to go in order to make some real money right here right now. But then the little hunter in me tells me, that the EA should be able to bring us "in" in time (as he does) and also "out". That is why I asked Rick for the second QQEA. Hope I am right as this thingy will be the magic wand!
So long - Gmatt

You are lucky to be looking at the 30M. I checked that several times in the last 40h and it was always better than 15M : - But 15M will be profiable in the end, too!!

After going thru the initial posts I have the following observations to make of the “Super Nova” (from the posts of course):
1. Best time to trade is M15.
For manual trading that may be true, yes.
2. Trading is ok in any direction (please someone clarify that).
Short or Long are possible, you may get in on trend and retracement.
3. The CCI, DMI-14, T-3 are the core indicators of this system. Momentum is also there but not in the initial posts.
The core of the system is the QQE (QQEA). The CCI is an add on the MOM was always part of the show.
4. The best setups are from 2AM-6AM Eastern (7AM-11AM GMT), although 100+ moves keep on occurring in the market outside of those bounds (I don’t even know why I wrote this).
You wrote this, because it is right! Other openings may also have a good trade in store though.
5. It is also possible to enter on the M5 using M15 as the reference. I did not find what to look on the M15 to enter on the M5? Please explain in detail if possible.
Guess it is the other way round. Getting in on the 15M you may wanna check with the 5M to see whether the QQE cross has already taken place. Maybe also on the 1M for fun. Then check the 1H & 4 H to find the small to midterm trend.
6. The usual stop loss recommendation is above the T3 line.
Is it??
7. It is best to enter a trade with the T3 above the HA candle, when going short. or below when going long.
It is in my opinion the other way round. The T3 line must be broken downward to enter a short and it must be crossing (or crossed on smaller TFs) to enter a long from below.
Best regards,
Randy.

OK, well things seem to be looking up a bit. I am going to proceed cautiously at this point so that we don't change too much at once. Today, I will release the second QQEA which should also allow for a non-chart TF on exit. In addition, I will loosen the slippage on close and add some debugging info. I was watching the entries last night and I think we can definitely make some improvements there. Also, I saw some bugs in the section that closes multiple entries. I don't use them, but once we stabilize the EA, we might want to pyramid.

Glenn, could you please include your set file got 30 minutes? It would be great to run a few tests on another machine.

Rick

Hallo Rick!

I was also just about to ask Glenn for the setfile as he seems to be doing really well, despite the fact that I would personally not take all these rules for entry and exit into account, but then again, they are there to be used effectively and these settings seem to be very good!
You are right not to twist the whole EA around in a heartbeat and I would be very happy with the changes you mention above. I will provide you with more findings as I get them here.
Do you have any other things apart from the LaGuerre you would like me to look at?

Greetings &
Matt

Hallo Rick!

I know you are in the middle of coding, but I could not resist commenting on this little beauty that was ended in mid-air by the LaG! It ended in positive territory but still made me feel funny. Please have a look:

Ciao!
