Closing Week Summary

Will I recover from the open loss above? I was in a far worse position earlier this week. 85 pips adrift at one stage. I'd back it. I'd put money on it. Ohh... wait a minute, I have!

3 trades long open loss $182 and free margin $246. And that's it from me until the London open on Monday. Have a great weekend everyone.

Currently 3 longs and 1 short open EURUSD with an open loss of $208 and free margin of $351.

Intraday technical indicators are mixed, but the pair remains in a bearish channel, this maintains a downside pressure.

I'm nervous about the short as today 3028 is realistic and I'm looking for further upside with 3058 & 3106 as targets.

Exited short for 2 pips. I'll short again if it gets near to 3028 but doesn't break through.

Free margin $189 and open loss $240.

Opening the fourth long lot EURUSD put my free margin down to $48 so I felt it was prudent to exit for a silly pip because a margin call was imminent if it had gone against me by 12 pips.

I may live to fight another day.

Please note: I am interested in two things. % profit on closed trades related to account size and the consecutive string of unbroken profitable trades. The open loss and free margin, which may limit my trading, as now, are of interest but as I said at the start of this thread I really do expect my account to blow up sooner rather than later. In fact, I'm sure I'm not the only one to be surprised that the account hasn't blown up sooner. We'll see how much longer I can last.

As long as 1.292 is a support, a rise towards 1.318 and even 1.33 seems likely and my pivot point stands at 1.292. A break below 1.292 would cancel rebound chances and would lead the to 1.281 and even 1.269.

Trend: ST consolidation; MT bullish.

"What the mind of a man can conceive and believe he will achieve." Or something like that. I do actually believe I can get to a string of 50 profitable trades. Perhaps that is why I'm at 32 so far. But my goals are regularly revised - a bit like the technicals on forex!

Failure to continue past my pivot of 3028 on 4 occasions in the last 20 minutes opens up a short at that level for 10 pips. IMO we could still see further consolidation in a 20 pip range before the next push upwards. I just hope it hits TP quickly.

Free margin is now a bit healthier at $414. My maximum of 4 trades now open. Short above now at $4 profit.

Above is my position at the start of my trading day (GMT=+1).

I am now currently again 3 longs and 1 short open EURUSD with an open loss of $149 and free margin of $412.

I've closed 1 trade with 1 pip profit and my open loss has reduced by 53 pips. I'm happy. With $1 for 4 hours work. But I'm glad my other markets did better.
