Not really a gap but could be a gap from an individual broker as they open from previous closes. True gaps occur when all are actively open and price jumps from a close to new higher or lower open, generally designed to jump through a resistance or support area without having to absorb all the bid/offers to achieve their goal and is generally seen as a sign of weakness which is why they are usually filled with a follow through.

My IBFX weekly gbp/jpy chart shows a downspike to the 110 area which never occurred. It is showing on 2 different accounts of mine. Does anyone else have IBFX? This false downpike is affecting my indicators.
I contacted IBFX support and they fixed the chart error.

weekly momentum is showing a retrace to the 5 sma low at 220 area, or the 4 hour 22 moving average at 217. (green ma)

monthly chart shows 209.78 as a possible downside target. the monthly 55 sma (Brown)

214.89 is the 5 sma high on my 4 hour chart. 215.21 is the 14 sma. might look for a rejection there.

Hourly chart 22 sma is near the daily pivot usually. Green sma is the 22 on my hourly chart. we need a close above it on the hourly chart to continue the retrace up.

22 sma (green) is sitting at 214.93 ish

15 min chart shows a rejection on the 1st attempt at the 100 sma (aqua color) at 215.05 area.

the charts i posted are gbp/jpy.

USD/JPY was rejected on 1st attempt at the 76 fib/200 ema on my 15 min chart.

I do trade this pair. I corrected the typo on that post to 215.05 for gbp/jpy.

Hi dagwoods. I dont have a chart right now.My software I use for print screen isnt cooporating. I opened a long when my broker opened. Catching a few pips (or more..hehee) I dont usually trade on Sunday but the opportunity presented itself. I will prolly scale out soon if it cant get above the 100 ema on the 15 min chart. If it does, I will scale out at the 215.45 pivot.

why confused? check my earlier posts....... check aus site.... charts indicated possible retracing to 216 or even 219.3..... ova just posted chart with similar thinking..... but we all know the beast is goin down in flames soon....so patient traders are waiting and hoping she does reatrace a lot so we can shor the crud out of her again lol.......

2nd attempt was also rejected on my 15 min chart for gbp/jpy at the 100 sma @ 215.05. Attempting a 3rd try to break it but 1c mom and 5 c mom reversed to point down.

good plan! i am up 80 myself so i think i iwill just move my stop to rotect profit after this next pullback and see if i can greedy for a few more and worst case i get about 30-40 pips..... good stuff

trading a 15 min chart on the geppy? not in a million years for me! i know its sunday and all but....way crazy dude!

Pipchick what broker do you use? At what price did you get in if you dont mind me asking. I am not in any trade yet. Waiting for a little pull back to get in. Not too many US economy news in the first couple of days so there is bound to be some profit taking as far the equties are concerned. YEN lost some strenghth agaisnt all major currencies and IMO there would be a little rally before the GPB interest announcement. Weekley is still bearish bias. Waiting for RSI to cross up on my chart then I will go long my TP is 217.70 area(25EMA) area but will wait for the next 4 hr candle to open.
