so if we form a double bottomon such a retest and bounce or even if we dont and just break out of the current cahnnel to the upside....we might expect a scenario something like this: see chart

Just check the attached PDF file to setup the fibs in the metatrader fib tool. Hope this is fine

Here is an indicator made by waddhattar for the fib retracement and then improved by pips4life to include Fib extention levels.

Details are in the code.

You just have to put this in your indicator folder then attach to your chart. all the Fibs you draw on your chart will automatically have the price levels.

As illustrated in the attached chart. Price may be on the way up now for the wave 3 of a wave C. Unless it goes down and breaches previous low at 213.59

I am using a SHI channel indicator. (Attached if you need it). IMHO GBP/JPY had reached 216.50 but could not break it. I think it would retest the lows which is the 1.382 fib of 214.27.

very cool thanks.... but why did you pull the fib that way? why not fibb off the entire move? just curious i am still trying to learn fibs...

It is how I use the FIB tools when checking for retracements and extentions using the Elliott Wave Principles.

Subsequent waves are projected from suggested relationships with finished waves. So I base it on various reference waves. and see which ones jive for higher probability.

To illustrate this, see attached chart.

Another test of supporting TL on UJ monthly is coming. With GU sliding as well, direction for GJ is obvious for today imo.
