Hi mikhail...great work on this EA. I wanted to know if there was a way to set this EA so that it would only buy Bago Signals in a certain direction. I was looking at the third MA option but up trend and down trend bago signals can occur above or below a specified MA.

Hey cmalzoni...if this is all new to you...read the MT4 help file as well as the bago thread in this forum. Its a lot of reading but you will be the better for it. The EA is an expert advisor and you can read up on those on the MT4 forum. The EA will pretty much work on any time frame but you have to know what rules to apply. You will only understand by reading through the help material and bago thread.

Re: volume in the fx market.


I understand that any published volume figures for the fx market are quite usually meaningless. The only way that one might know what volume was in a particular pair, is if one worked on the trading desk of a Tier 1 that was constantly best bid/offer, and so got an eyeball of the transaction flow.


Perhaps an alternative way might be to look at volume figures in the underlying futures to give a rough guide. Personally, I wouldn't place much creedence in volume figures for fx-it is an unregulated market and has no centralised trade reporting, that I am aware of.

First off, I'd like to say excellent work, this EA is very easily customizable and I see great things in the future. I was just wondering if you had considered also implementing vegas's 1hr indicator with the fib lines as buy/sell points?

The vegas 1hr indicator draws a "tunnel" using the 144 and 169 EMA's and then also draws 3 fib lines above and below the tunnel. After receiving the buy signal from the bago method, we proceed to buy 3 lots. After the trend hits the first closest fib line, we sell 1 lot, then sell another lot after it hits the 2nd line, and finally the 3rd lot at the third fib line, of course, this is all at the investor's discretion. With an EA, I'd recommend to probably buy 10 lots, and then sell something like 5 at the first line, 3 at the 2nd and the last 2 at the third line to minimalize risk. So far the fib lines have been great indicators of where to sell after buying using the signals given from the bago method.

Sound good. Will try to add this in the EA. But no promises, this sounds very difficult to code.

Hi Mikhail, downloaded your Bago, can run it on backtesting with some very good results ; Tried it on a demo account but doesn't give me any trades. Help neeeded.

Go to Metatrader section in this forum you should find lots of answers there on the basics of setting up EAs.

It can help to filter out false signals but during a sideways market the EA loses so much money. I believe we could make this thing profitable we just need to find the right combination. any suggestion for additional filter would be very welcome.

I have forward testing your EMA ANGLE filter code in the firedaves original Universalcrossema. But I donot know why it is not working.Pl. through some lighton this. treshold = 0.2.
