The reason H4X says (tricky, eh? and it saves me from typing "arold") 7pm est for the daily determination is because that is the time IBFX starts the new day, 0000 gmt. That starts a new candle, and we do our calc on the recently closed one, where the numbers are settled.

Then, we WAIT... until the close of the 600gmt candle. Now, remember, it is at the CLOSE of the 600 candle, which really is at 700gmt... At the open of the 700 candle, we look at the now closed 600 candle, and each hourly candle after that up to and including the 1800gmt candle. Now, the 1800 candle closes at 1900, so really, our last possible entry would be at 1900gmt.

See how that works? So, to answer your question, we do not enter immediately upon determining our daily long/short/no-trade. We WAIT....

OK...what is the newbie missing?? It looks like the stochs have already turned downward in IBFX for the Long GBP pairs on daily. Why are they still considered?

ok let me explain again once the daily candle has closed that gives us DIRECTION FOR TOMORROW!!! we no longer look at daily candle anymore though you see stoc or rsi move there are 24 hours of fluctuations that happen they cross up and down thats irrelivant because at the end of day they may be up please understand this so we can move on

I am with Interbank,and in west Australia,that is a very civilised 7.00 am when the new candle appears.....so I will just wait then till 1.00pm to look for the 3 indicators to line up? At 7.00 am this bright sunny day,on the GBP/USD every thing on the 1Hr chart was set to go....I 'm glad that I didnt dive in.... I'll stroll the beach instead

fxpivots gave us the signals i will repost them for all to see these are the signals for tomorrow trading time is the close of 600 gmt candle on ibfx depending where you live you have to figure that out i live in usa so it is 2 am. here are the signals: longs cadjpy,gbpchf,gbpjpy shorts eurcad and gbpusd

Harold-Here's my confusion. In your post #705 the chart shows all the indicators going long, but the daily close has was down. You said this was a long. If the daily close gives us the signal then why did you go long that day?

Great simple system and great calls Harold. Unfortunately on this site you will find many idiots that read only the last page and can't even put in enough effort to read the first page, not to mention the entire thread. So just ignore those that keep asking questions that have been addressed in the first post and so many subsequent follow ups.

dd4x heres what you are confused in forget what the daily candle does weather it is a bull or bear candle what we want to know is are all 3 indicators crossed and if so which way are they crossed that is what determine the next days direction

I am sorry for cluttering your thread Harold and will cease now. I just want to commend you on the great simple system that was so well explained in your first post no charts were needed to demonstrate but you supplied anyway. Thanks again I have been using this along with you to great success (I admit I have taken a few counter trades that did not match the daily trend when all 1 hrindicators screamed to get in).

Don't feel like we are ganging up on you!!! 'cause this is a good question, and others can learn....

But, as H4X says, it just doesn't matter whether the daily candle is up or down, or whether the close is up or down compared to the previous candles... just lose that ..... you said in your post 767 "... the daily close gives us the signal".. and that is not it. The daily close does NOT give us "the signal." The indicators give us the signal, the daily close gives us the TIME to check the indicators.

The only thing the close of a daily candle gives us is a TIME. A time to check the indicators. That's all. A time. You can check the daily indicators anytime AFTER it closes. and, as H4X says, at the close of the daily candle, we check the indicators for TOMORROW'S trading...

The daily closes at 0000gmt (IBFX) and we start trading at the CLOSE of the 0600 gmt candle, or at 0700gmt real time, so you have basically 7 hours to check your trade direction.. you don't HAVE to check it EXACTLY at 0000gmt, just BEFORE you start trading for the day... make sense??

So... the daily candles closes and a new candle starts. Ignore the new candle... check the three signals (ema cross, RSI, DiNapoliStoch).... IF they agree on the most recently closed candle, THEN we have a trading direction for TOMORROW,.....

Don't overthink this... it's pretty simple... really!!!

well i took a lose on gbpusd there was also a loss on gbpchf which i didnt get in it made its high but would have hit the stop before hitting its target there also was a crazy signal again on gbpusd but that would just have to be a 30 pip stop since it was a spike candle and stop would have been huge but it did yield 30 pips

croeses any reason you trade these pairs that dont move very well? and usdcad isnt even a signal ema and stoc didnt cross

Hi croeses, I have noticed you have installed isma 3 to your charts.... do you have any information in regard to its operation ? or do you know where the manual can be found. Thanks Bill.
