hello and welcome.

Who is "you", refered to by your above statement.

Every one here don't trade the same direction at the same time.
And I am often trading the opposite direction as most anyways.

So who's direction are you gonna base your opposite direction trades off of?

Forgive my pithy introduction... I was just introducing myself as a counter-trend trader and establishing an online journal to hopefully help me become a better trader.

Well, I am buying the USD/CAD shortly within the next couple of days, hope that you won't be the one who will be selling to me or shorting against me...

Yea, got that first loss for the year out of the way. Stopped out with a 308 pip loss.

why are you going long? I thought our goal is to reverse the trend by shorting cable and euor/us. I would wait to see an up trend before I go long tho...

My time frame is 4-hours and the only indicator I use is a custom dual-turbo CCI based indicator. With 6 bars down and my 21-day indicator under -100, that's a solid downtrend for this timeframe!

Cable @ 1.9300, hope that you are not going long once again....It was supposed to be a reverse the trend as you said earlier in the thread, or I got you wrong

Since the only time frame I use is a 4-hour chart, I was counter-trend trading with my last trade. As you can see, Nadar, I got two false entry signals long and am now down two trades in a row. This is unusual for me, even though I have lost up to 9 trades in a row before. Stopped out on my last trade for a loss of 496 pips.

Went short the yen @ 118.45 with 10 contracts and a s/l @ 117.95.

Went long USD/JPY which is technically shorting the yen... I do not trade cross currencies... only the majors.
