Dont forget that the UK RICS House Price Balance. Came out negative this for sure is going to have a bad effect on the sterling. Anything near negative 50 is bad. In my opinion sterling might take a beating during the UK session.

One of the craziest days I ever experienced, seeing price fly through the roof within seconds, and I'm thinking WTH on earth is it doing...

I hate that bald Fed for ruining an excellent set-up lol

maybe some rogaine would clear his head.... i'm gonna file this one away as

on the bright side it looks like 251 end of year is very possible now and then u can tell markam "i told ya so" lol

personally i think i'm starting to get the feeling that they manipulate prices so we end up the end of year right where we started or therabouts at 235 or 236 i think 2007 started...so thats where we'll be on jan 1st and in between they ran the thing up to 251 and down to 218 and everywhere in between crushing and blowing up trader accounts on the way and when price isnt where they want it to be they just dump in some liquidity very mean they are

2200 pips up before the end of year? No chance. The situation is pretty much still the same, there is still a high chance of recession next year. Wall Street wasn't impressed with whatever the Fed and pals concocted yesterday. Dow may have risen overall but which stocks did well? It certainly wasn't the financials that I assume they were attempting to throw a rope to. It's just going to take a little longer to get wherever we're going. Hopefully we'll make some pips along the way.

251...haha what ever...if it it 251 before end year i get out forex and never come back...its just impossible...its not matter of us economy...its just that gbp are now in downtrend accross theboard with more bad news came out and early confirmation that uk slow down!

of course it wont go up that much but at the time it was at 251 this year it seemed reaasonable didnt it? and at time of 218 210 seemed reasonable too but its just gonna end slightly lower than the 235 that the year started with in all likelihood was my point...i wasnt making any crazy projection but at least you guys are all awak! good evening! lets post some charts lol

So seems like everybody is saying that GBP/JPY is strenghtening, is there a possibility it can go down to 226 ever in this year? I mean its only about 200 pips which is nothing for gbp but whats everyone's opinion? I would really appreciate, thanks.

I think what we saw today was the beginning of the end. The wheels are about to fall off of the fiat-based debt-driven world economy

Not to be picky, but what chart shows gpb/usd or gbp/jpy in a down trend? GU daily has been in strong uptrend since March...GJ daily has been choppy, but in uptrend since 11/11. I am long term bearish, but it is becomming clear that the bottom is not going to drop any time soon...by bottom I mean 210 and below. We would need Dow at least 10,500 for that, maybe less. It might be built on a house of cards, but for now that house is holding. Dow is up 8% for the year and will probably end a little higher if we get a Dec. bonus rally. US is the biggest world economy and it is in no one's intrest for the economy to tank---so it is being propped up. How long can the props last before collapse? To answer that would be one wild irresponsible guess!

The Gbp/Jpy on 12/29/06 was approx. 233.8x which is only 400+ pips from where it is right now...
Warning, lack of trading is dangerous to your survival......

Nice, The daily DJI chart shows that dow should have an upday tomorrow, which would only add to my justifications of longing. It looks like there is a pin off of support levels.

Yeah I know that's a lot shorter term than what FX-Petra is talking about, but I just thought that it posed some kind of significance.

I think we can all agree that collapse in inevitable...as it is of every great empire. It may start tomorrow, but more likely, I will not see total collapse in my lifetime. It is apparent that the US will never address its fundamental problems---but the end can be forestalled for quite some. The US still has a lot of cards to play. Obviously, there are only so many cards in the deck, but for now they have not played them all.

Hope all is well, sure would like to hear your analysis of this weeks events. Seems like there is something going on that we are not aware of. As I type this Nikkei is dropping and US Futs are getting weaker and weaker.

I'm also expecting cable to fall, especially after the today's poor rics data. No impact yet, strange???

It should still fall 300 pips to complete this latest down move.
