Comment: Noteworthy is that the yen cross pairs have experienced a massive correction. EJ for example, has dropped about 200pips in 1 hour. Unfortunately this happened after the D95P session.

I don't have enough posts, so I can't PM you. I would like to test this strategy on my blog, www.forexstrategytester.com. If I understand correctly from the post above, the November 3rd EA is the correct one? I just want to be sure before I start posting it.

Anyone that would like to stop by my blog and leave a comment or even just take a peak, I would greatly appreciate it. I have worked hard to put it together. There isn't a lot of content right now, but there will be by the end of the week.

The reverse EA's are, in my opinion, more a study of the money management involved in this method than looking for some uber profitable rule set. I find it interesting.

This weeks results will be slightly off. I don't usually run the 22-17 time frame on Sunday open due to issues with the EA but then I forgot to turn Expert Advisors back on to catch Monday's 22-17 time frame. So the 22-17 results for this week will only be based on Tuesday through Thursday.

The results for 12/10 on the 08-17 and 13-17 time frames was amazing but I'm sure this wont happen often. Anyways, I just had to post so everyone could see.

These are results running which EA on all pairs (Fall, Reverse?)? Also, what does 08-17 and 13-17 mean? I am also curious to the results, as running the regular 3 pairs (EUR/USD, EUR/JPY & USD/JPY) on the Fall EA has been bad lately. Any advise? Thanks.
Sorry, these are results for the fall EA.

08-17 means start time of 08 GMT looking back 17 hours
13-17 means start time of 13 GMT looking back 17 hours
22-17 means start time of 22 GMT looking back 17 hours

Advise on which pairs can be answered by looking at my results I've been posting. See post 1278 for the latest complete results for the previous week.

Here is my setup with the fall EA for IBFX and NF...

08-17 (London open)

IBFX demo, 18 pairs, start hour set to 8 (Column B)
NF demo, 18 pairs, start hour set to 10 (8 GMT Column D)

13-17 (New York open)

IBFX demo, 18 pairs, start hour set to 13 (Column F)
NF demo, 18 pairs, start hour set to 15 (13 GMT Column H)

22-17 (Original strategy)

IBFX demo, 18 pairs, start hour set to 22 (Column J)
NF demo, 18 pairs, start hour set to 0 (22 GMT Column L)

The NF time is 2 hours greater than IBFX which is GMT time. That's why the NF demos get set 2 hours greater.

Six demos testing 3 different start hours to compare which pair does good under which start time and then which broker did better than the other.

My results so far have been mixed showing certain pairs performing better with certain brokers. Notice how the AUD/JPY produced 330 pips (9 days with an average of 37 pips) on the IBFX demo. This pair did better than the North Finance demo under the same settings. This could be due to lag, data stream, etc.

I have highlighted a few areas to point out some major differences that caught my eye. Se the magenta highlighted area? IBFX had 7 days it was triggered where the NF only triggered on 4 days. This was due to the NF demo being too close to even set the pending orders so they were never made. It show some differences between brokers because the IBFX demo had less problems setting the pending orders and then triggering them.

I use these results to pick out settings for certain pairs and possibly even certain brokers.

Are these results a benefit to anyone or should I keep it to myself? I don't seem to get a lot of feedback from anyone looking at them except with questions about what they show. I don't want to waste anyones time or create excessive posts when no one may be interested.

I for one am extremely grateful for the time and effort you are putting in with this thorough analysis.
As this is a forward testing exercise I'm sure I'm not the only one patiently awaiting the conclusive results at the end of a longer timeframe.
Keep up the fine work and I'm positive that it will prove worthwhile.

Is anyone out there still trading the EA (Fall) live? It seems to have tanked the last 2 weeks, now this week as well? I am puzzled why now, all of a sudden, it is doing so poorly. Any ideas out there?

this daily 95pips strategy seems interesting but i'm still testing so, no conclusion yet.

But what do u do when the current price of the market cannot allow you set entry orders due to the difference in current price and ur entry order price?

Also in a day like this, how do u set up this strategy (current price is far low from the low price in the 17th hr. Will it be okay to use the days low and high, regardless of the time they fall into?

I am trading live with .01 lots on an IBFX account although I have chosen different pairs/time frames that I'm running. I looked at the results I've posted so far and went with the greenest pairs for IBFX. My choice on a pair has to have higher days (7 or more) and a high average (25 or more). I also look at the reverse results in deciding.

I am going to make some revisions to the EA for myself to go ahead and place the orders if they are too close to an extreme. I can post the new version when complete and I have some other ideas I might implement at the same time.

So far pending orders get placed regardless and then they either get triggered or not. I have seen cases where this turns out well and then again not. If you're trading manually then I would say it's up to you.

If we could all predict where the price is going then we'd already be rich.
