Just got to post this nzd/jpy weekly chart.

Very good chance for it to go down and maybe break the triangle.

looking at what i see on the charts, i jumped on the entry on the above trade thinking ill catch the ride short. but on further assessment, the main reason i took the above trade was that gj tested 50% fib retrace and i assumed that it will fall from there. on second thoughts, looking back at the charts i see that we are at undecided territory still so i have exited my trade at 227.17 for -9 pips loss and i will wait for more confirmations on either direction, long or short. lesson to myself.
(ps to me- i wont give away the profits earned today so far)

hi karmo,

how come you have stopped posting trade entries/exits in your journal?

earlier on today you were short and you mentioned that you keep on adding to shorts as it goes up, so what would your average entry be? i recall you went short from yesterdays NY session too and short from todays tokyo session. but then you mentioned you have 100 pip stop loss and then bring it to +1 pip b/e. do you do that after averaging your positions?

i just became a bit hesitant on the short i took. i guess im still being cautious and waiting for everything to line up on my charts to take short. ill just wait for my confirmations, which hopefully is soon. thanks again

According to CNBC , Dow Futures are currently up 94.

However as we get closer to opening bell, these gains might get smaller.

Thus x/jpy will slide down. I see dow closing in the red today.

Just my noob opinion.

S&P Futures is what tells us DOW's direction for the major part of the day. Right now its at possitive 12 which indicates that the DOW will open strongly and remain so for a major part of the day. ALso today is tripple so there could be some buying going on till 5PM EST and then it may fall also today some economic numbers are coming out so you never know.

Well most traders would think that since today is triple interest, x/jpy pairs would not drop much or at all.

But sometimes this thought does not hold true.

Market seems confused also feel like they want price to hit 61.8% fib from the last down move @ 227.88. . .

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
