can you turn off the price line in MT4? maybe theres an option to turn it from grey to black? can anyone help.

You can right mouse click on the chart screen and select properties or press F8, then select the color tab, the price line color is controlled by the 'grid' color.

And you can select None as a color on any place that asks for a color.

Also, when you're coding something in MT4 you can enter the color value as CLR_NONE and it'll show up as...well it won't show up.
