GJ might break another major support around that 224 level (major trendline, weekly S1 pivot, resistance-turned-support, and 61.8 fib level from nov23-29 rally)

if it does, we might see 222 by the end of the day (all depending on this news of course)

we will see
The odds are on my side; let's hope they stay that way!!!

07:41 GBP/USD: Consolidating Losses, Times MPC Votes 7-2 for Rate Cut London, December 6. Cable is trading towards the base of today"s 2.0255-2.0312 Asian session range in early European trade, against a big-picture backdrop of loss consolidation to yesterday"s eight-week low of 2.0248. That low was plumbed on the back of heightened risk of a 25bp UK base rate cut to 5.5% at 12:00GMT today, re: disappointing UK consumer confidence, house price and service sector data. 2.0615 was yesterday"s early Asian session high.
The Times MPC has voted 7-2 to recommend that the MPC cut the UK base rate today. Anatole Kaletsky says Britain will face far worse economic prospects than either America or Europe if the BoE leaves the UK base rate at 5.75% today (Times).
Sterling bids are tipped at 2.0250, with sell stops touted below 2.0230. Some buy stops reportedly reside above 2.0320. Option-wise: 2.0400, 2.0550 and 2.0650 strikes roll off at today"s 10am Eastern NY cut (15:00GMT).
UK October industrial and manufacturing production data is due at 09:30GMT. IP is forecast +0.1% m/m. [email protected]

I am watching Cable. E/U and G/J closely as all are consolidating.

Not sure which one to pay the most attention to. (suggestions?)

How can I get the interest rate statement the quickest? should I just use the forums here?

any help to a rookie would be greatly appreciated

Should the BOE cut the rate, how much would the GBP/JPY could go further down today?

Any estimations would put current long positions in a different risk managed view.

50% of todays move down, the 50 ema on the 1 hr then the 61.8 all within 20-25 pips of each other, so I took profits. I will definately sit out for the rate decision. There will be plenty of pips left once it all calms down and sets into a direction.

Edit:Greed creates risk which creates loss.

Can someone explain why you see 232? From my 1H chart I see a down channel and now we are stuck between 227 and 224. I'd say were going to around 222.50 before an up move to 227?? I just don't understand that's all.

unchanged rate = up or range

rate cut = down
